why is my ph climbing so fast? is it normal?

forgot to mention abv...

the water/nute solition has tons of 'floaters' in it... also too much residue settled on the bottom... the ph has stabalized arnd 5.8, which is right where i want it, but im weighing all this new info and a system flush and nutrient change is necessary i think...

one post i read said to change the solution out right away, but the plants jsut barely went in an are still small... but to hinder root/ overall growth for another few days??

:helpsmilie:

This is my second time to use waterfarms. This time same thing, i soaked in 5 pH water for a day, and before that they were rinsed with just regular water. It looks like the climbing is slowing down, but going from 5.5 to 6.7 in under 12hours sucks.

I know if you're using c o I r you need to pre soak. also are you using reverse osmosis water? calcium and magnesium are buffers, if your original ppm is too low your ph will go haywire.
