So I found this 300w cfl at HD with 3,900 lumens and its 2700k, I know you want 5500k+ for veg but will this cfl work well for flowering? This is my first grow and Im a little confused on lights. Thanks for any advice guys. :Rasta::ganjamon:

some people use them, its not the best as you said, but it will work, as long as its 18/6 or more

An 18/6 schedule is vegging the plant, Im wondering if this light specturm will work well for flowering not veg.

Yeah. That's a good one for flowering a very small garden. Is it 300 watts or 300 watt equivalent?

If it actually uses 300 watts then it's output sucks.

A 4' 40 watt flouro tube, (Daylight Ultra) puts out 3050 initial lumens so you could run 7.5 4 footers for a total of 22,875 lumens.

if you use cfl i would pick up 8-10 27w cfl =100 and some heat blanket from walmart for veg and 3-68w cfl=300 for flowering and some y adpt from hd for small grow you should be good ph meter co2 that what i would do for small grow

i didn't read that right.. yes 2700k is what you want to flower

sounds like a good bulb
