1st Time Auto Topped LED Grow

Hey Ched, that plant looks fantastic. I wish there was a scratch & sniff feature in this forum!

Lol you know it! I keep saying I wish I could take a picture of the smell. Such a fragrant sweet smell of stanky blueberry. Getting close to harvest time. I purchase a new jewlers loupe so I can see the trichromes turn amber. My last one was a 30x pocket microscope and did not do the job. You could see but it was a pain to use and focus enough to see detail. Thanks for stopping by, stay tuned.

I'll be hanging in for this, good job so far!

Thanks for stopping by Thunderbud. We're getting close to harvest and she's looking better by the day. Stay tuned

I had Barberella out for a little leaf tucking and to check to see if I could find any amber with the microscope. Still can't find any but I do have a better loupe on the way. With some more direct lighting I took some pictures and I find the features of the blue diesel are a little more noticeable:)thanks:stinky snid). The purple development is becoming more and more prevalent over the past week or so and the pistils are about 95% orange/red. I find the small amount of white i still find is in the areas that dont get absolute light. I am now waiting for the pistils to receed back into the bud and for the amber to show. And now for a little bud porn :high-five:.

I wish I filled the pot a little higher with soil so I could see the bottom a bit better. I'd love to post a pic of the full bud of the one with the lighter. I have to molest the plant to do moderate leaf tucking and even still the buds are so thick I can barely tuck anything lol.. lovin it!

Cheers every one, Happy Easter!

:cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer:Update time!:cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer:

WELCOME back to the shed everyone. A quick update today as I had Barberella out for a feed and she is looking fantastic.those buds look like the swelling has slowed to the point it is nearly unnoticeable. My loupe didn't show up at the usual time yesturday so I couldn't have a look to see if I had much amber yet b4 work. However, I did check after work:thumb:. With the new loup it has the option to go from 60x to 120x. I was using the 60x and although it's a little difficult to get use to using I did end up seeing some amber.

Yesturday I had her out for her last feed.

Bio-thrive bloom: 5ml
Cal/mg: 5 ml
Bio-bud: 2.5ml
RH: 35%-45%
PH: if anyone wonders why I never post this is because general organics claims to be PH perfect so I haven't been checking as I haven't had a problem.

Next "feed" will be the beginning of flush cycle. In another weeks time it will be the end of week 8 of flower and I think in about a 2.5 weeks roughly will be harvest time.

I'm really looking forward to this one. Alot less internode space between the buds so I'm hoping for nice big full colas. Cant wait to see the dried weight and the final product. I will definitely be sampling this one early :thumb:. Curing will be a long wait this time around.

With out further wait, it's time for pictures. Not alot has changed as far as look is concerned. I tried to take a couple of pics of the bigger buds. One in particular came out pretty decent and it's my favourite bud on there. Let's see if you can pic it out :high-five:.

Nice work CHED! Make sure to save those sugar leaves, looks like you got lots of trichome prodcution coming off her.

you will be surprised as to how much they can swell up during the flushing process so I wouldn't count it out completely. During the last 5 days of my flush mine really packed on the weight. I actually harvested her about 5 days ago if you wanna pop by my journal and check her out .

Looking forward to see what your weight comes in at!

Thanks kushnoj! I've been very happy with this run. Nice tight nugs and sweet stanky smell. Can't wait to start trimming her to actually see the skeleton. Once she chopped and defoliate I'm going to take some pics and throw my hat in for my first contest submissions... wish me luck :thumb:. As for my sugar leaves, I saved my last clippings so the both are being made into some BHO.

I do have a question for all you experienced growers.. as I said I intend to take some pictures as I'm harvesting. I know I should harvest in a dark room. What kind of light should I use for pictures? Will the flash from my phone camera b bad? Can I expose them to light at all after the 48 hr dark period b4 harvest?. Any help will be appreciated. I want to do everything well so this batch turns out as premium as possible. It will b a nice present to me before moving to the new Diggs.

Thanks everyone. Stay tuned. An update will follow later today as she is beginning her flush and I will take some more pictures.

Cheers,

:cheer::yahoo::cheer::yahoo::cheer:UPDATE:yahoo::cheer::yahoo::cheer::yahoo::cheer::yahoo:

As promised a little update for everyone. First day of flush today. Gave her a big dose of water and had plenty of run off. I pulled out few dead leaves out of there but as I said before it's dense as f*ck and hard to dig through the buds (lol not that I'm complaining). Here's some more pictures. I've been trying to get different shots each time so I hope you all enjoy the pix :Namaste:.

I'm sure it will be another 4-5 days till she is dry again and ready for her second round.

Till then, take care everyone.

exposing to light before harvest is fine as long as it's not your grow lights. The point of that is so you don't get excess nutrients in your stems when harvesting. Essentially it's a cleaner smoke, but flash from a camera or a room lamp should is fine

Same to you kushnoj! I love this place for ppl like you both!

Awesome frosty buds man!!

I thank you very much! It's been an awesome journey and I can't wait for the fruits of labour. Have a seat, :passitleft: have a hoot and stick around for the harvest.:thumb:

She's looking awesome. I bet you can't wait to smoke it! Just make sure to test run off before harvesting, you want it as low as possible. you're almost there!!

Lol you guys are posting faster than I can reply haha. Unfortunately I don't have a ppm meter. Last harvest I flushed twice with twice the water I used for feed each time. I think this time I'll do the same. Might do it a third time because it's a bigger pot.

And hell yah I can't wait! I keep thinking about taking a sample but I'm waiting. I think it will be sweeter.

Haha it's cuz I just rolled a blunt of my new plant I just harvested and I'm sitting on the couch just baked out of my mind cruising through this app .. You can see on my journal I posted a few pics .

Just make sure to flush 2-4 times the pot capacity. I usually flush at least 15 gallons for a 5 gal pot each time. For my last grow I did that once a day for 3 days straight, but I'm hydro so it's a little different for me. Regardless the amount of water should be the same
