600w Hps + CFL + 4 Strains In Soil!

Great read and good strains :thumb: Im subscribed over here alot of reading I was doing but this a Gentleman's club with no porn. We need porn PopCorn.

I Know Wiz i will get some up as soon as this new lot sprout as only got the seeds in water today, so a cpl days and i will get some up, will put some basic images up 2moro of set-up and bits just having a big clear-up today so that i dont have the same problems and waiting for cpl bits to come in the post :thanks::thanks:

Yea I would like to see how your set up is. Im in turns of remodeling my room so That I have a great set up for 12 plants. Painting my walls a flat white again. They get marked up so easy. And then I have to purchase another 400w MH/HPS convertible. I think 2 400w should be good for 12 plants. And I may keep a MH in one during flowering or use MH and a HPS bulb threw veg and flower. IDK!

But cant wait to see pictures of whats going on over there. You have us all on the edge of our seats lol

at the minute i am just using a 1.2m x 1.2m x 1.8m Tent with a 4-5" outtake fan carbon filter and a hygrometer, a large oscillating fan and will put an intake in when they go to flower.

I will veg under 200w Blue CFL and then switch to a 600w Dual spectrum bulb with a 200w Red CFL that will be on the floor basically and will use as uplighting as most of these strains are indica dominant.

Also i will hopefully be using 6l Air Pots with either Gold label Special soil Light Mix or Gold Label Special Coco/Clay mix and will grow them out completely in these pots, and will be using Gh flora 3-part with Diamond Nectar and Diamond ripen.

I run a really basic set-up to be honest but it will do me what i need and then i will upgrade as and when i can, The First Thing i want to Buy is a MIRO reflector but there £160-£200 each but designed by physicists and said to be the best light spreading reflector there is, and it looks SUPER COOL lol (will try and post a pic of it)

this is the write up of it --

What HGUK Say....

First impressions are good, the item is well made, fairly light and seems pretty robust! a good soilid sized reflector capabale of excellent spread capabilities. This is the improved version of the original and comes in 2 sizes depending on the lights and space you are using.... This grostar reflector was designed with 2 main things n mind. extra large spread and to eliminate hot spots! We have not run tests on this reflector our selves yet but initial impressions are good and we have heard plenty of good things from customers....

What Grostar Say....

Minimum of 95% Total Reflectivity and Multi-Layered Surfacing Brightened. The Grostar is made from a combination of the following alloys namely MIRO; Aliminium/Silver, Silicon dioxide and Titanium Dioxide.

MIRO is capable of reflecting a 'plant friendly' spectrum due to its colour correcting qualities. This means reflection is of a fuller spectrum making for more lush plant growth. Miro is used in Lighting industries to increase the efficiency of any available lighting source. The Grostar is the only reflector in the world today that is made from MIRO.

The angles created for this reflector were designed by physicists to omit a perfectly even, downward spread of light. The completely even light spread has many benefits including reduced 'Hotspots' and maximum efficiency from the light source. Gardens grow level under this reflector, the Grostar almost eliminates pyramidal growth patterns.

The intense reflection given from the GroStar makes sure artificial lighting sources penetrate deep canopies of foliage meaning no wasted Energy and maximum plant production.

The GroStar is made from one piece of material. This is to maximise reflectivity as any joins, folds etc in the material would equate to a loss of reflected lumens.

The GroStar can actually decrease a gardens artificial lighting requirements by maximising the reflection and spread from each source of light.

This is the ultimate in horticultural reflector technology.

Very Light Weight - Approx 1kg

Recommended Artificial Lighting:

125w-300w CFL

or

250w-600w Metal Halide/HPS Systems

No it can be used with CFL MH & HPS just have to buy the right size as i think they have 3 different sizes, 200-400w, 400-600w & 600-1000w.

The write up on it looks amazing and i believe it is a very new product as they say it is the only reflector to be coated in MIRO, but the clincher for me is that the reflector itself changes the light spectrum to a more absorbable entity for your plant.

i dont own one YET WH i really want one though just type GROSTAR MIRO reflector in google and it will come up with a load of sites you can buy it from.

if i was you though i would get a Red CFL with hanger for about £25

Good luck with these beans!

Good luck with these beans!

Thanks TG we shall know within the next 48 hours so fingers crossed and i will pay a little more attention and not bloody step on them again :rofl::wood::wood:

After a mad day today finally sat down and rolled one for myself :reading420magazine:.

Now what happened might you ask the simple answer everything LOL

The long answer - I got all my seedling pots ready and placed my germing seeds next to them on the floor (never a good idea), i then proceeded into the kitchen and thought whys my foot wet, OH SHIIIIT, i had step on the seeds and started dispensing them around my flat as they stuck to my sock ( IAM SUCH AN IDIOT LOL ), Luckily i have the eyes of a Hawk and managed to find all seven, if you have ever tried to find a lost seed you understand my pain, not one taproot had broken off RESULT, so i got them into there pots and as my CFL hasnt turned up yet put them under my 600w at 24 inches away, I then thought need to run out quick and buy an oscilating fan to keep the air circulating, so headed off to argos picked one up NICE, then i got home went and checked on the temps and everything to see that my hydrometer had started to melt i think UH-OH but last reading was 49.8 degrees C as some IDIOT hadnt turned the outtake fan on, so after frantically running around and getting everything sorted, temps have now dropped to 27 degrees C all seems fine and hydrometer seems ok and EVERYTHING IS DEFINATELY TURNED ON.

:phew::phew::phew: :allgood::allgood::allgood: :goodluck::420:

Read This Wiz me being an idiot

Massive Tidy Up today then will try and get some pics on tonight if all goes well.

Found a bit of mould on my interior wall so had to bleach it and now cleaning my tent again so monotanus done it already yesterday lol

better to be safe then sorry i guess
