600W HPS Grape Ape G13 Auto Coco Loco

Starting in the final pot is do able.... but then it leaves you with the question you guys are asking... I try to preach that starting in smaller containers and working your way to the final pot is the way to go... follow the BLT method and it takes all the guessing out of it.

Yes, starting in smaller container and up potting can make things a bit easier to manage, but I am finding (especially with autos) that plants get a really good start when sprouting the seed in its final container making the extra fiddling with watering and nutrients worth it. (to me anyway lol) Check out my auto I started in an 8 gallon pot, it is almost 14" wide now and only 19 days from seed. (in my signature)

My growth not to be compared to yours Richard. Mine is a very fast auto.

I just read your BLT method Backlipslide, I like it, a lot like what I do, and keeps it simple. it will especially work when the plant starts to fill the entire pot. With the bigger pot the wet/dry cycle is just a bit longer. I dont think I water at all for the first almost two weeks that it starts to grow. Just add a bit of water with 1/4 nutes to kick it off the first week.

Yeah man, I'm almost positive I should have been feeding for over a week now. But can't beat myself up about it. My second indoor grow, and a new soil. I will be feeding in about 2 or three days. 525 ppm.

Absolutely, just give them some food and move forward!

Same issue with my grow. I wanted to try not to use too much extra nutrients, so I tried to feed just the soil. The plants didn't like it, so I started using something else and just drove forward. Ended up with some decent buds and a good lesson for next time!

Thanks man!

yeah, with you Mentioning autos, the thesis was always to keep them in one pot through out there entire life. I get that, and I respect that 100% :high-five:

Yes BLT method is all backlipslide

I am similar, but I tend to give it just a little bit of water with nutrients in the first week or two and not to run off. Just a bit to add to what is available. Then repeat this as needed through out depending on what the plants tell me.

Then about once a week or so depending on if they are dried out enough or not (sooner if dry, later if still wet) I will water to run off with full strength nutrients, collect some of the run off, then add it back in or let the plants soak it back up. If there is still water left in the tray after an hour or so I remove it from the dip tray.

Ok she has taken a turn for the worst.

The leaves on the lowest internode, are always the first to go. They’re closer to the medium and don’t do well when the medium is constantly on or near the leaf. It’s also because it’s the furthest away from the top of the plant. Pulling nutrients out of the oldest/biggest leaves, moving them to the top of the plant. It’s also an indication that they’re not getting enough food.

Well I apologize it's been so long since my last post I've been doing a big move and a huge life transition but thankfully I was able to 1byone meticulously save my entire grow. As I stated before I had g13 autos and grape ape. The auto's have since came and gone. But I have added to the bunch God bud and Acapulco gold crossed with Moby Dick.

Also right side is to grape apes in one God bud. On the left are the other God buds the Acapulco gold and Moby Dick and a gelato. The grape apes are right at week 4 of flower. Including the two-week transition. And the left side of the tent is on day 3 of 1212. Still in there first couple weeks of transition.
