AK48 Auto In Coco Loco - CFL - 2nd Grow By Paintedbudman

Just a quick picture download. The girls are 5 weeks old and growing very well. Soon I'll have to remove another bucket layer soon or they will start growing up into the lights.

Welcome underthunder!!:Namaste: Enjoy the show.:cheer:

Just a quick post about what i call my "bucket system". When I initially set up my grow chamber I intended to move the lights up and down. But with my homemade setup I learned in a $40 breakage of light bulbs that it was easier to leave the lights stationary and move the plants up and down. In its current form, I have the plants setting on a cement board platform which is placed atop a set of buckets. Initially I use 5 5gallon bucket stacked on top of one another. As the plants approach the lights I take off one five gallon bucket layer and replaceit with a layer of 1 gallon buckets. This results in a decrease in height in ~7inch steps. If one or more of the plants need to remain closer to the lights simply place a bucket on top of the cement board platform and voila ..... instant 7 inch plant stand. I have a couple of pictures of my grow chamber. You will notice in the secondone the plant in the back is placed on the cement board while the rest have at least one gallon bucket keeping their tops closer to the lights. This allows room to grow while keeping high intensity light to the tops of all of the plants. This seems to work well for me so far, simple easy and cheap. It has saved me brken bulbs and broken plants I'm sure by never moving the lights only the plants

I usually post pictures when I water and feed (twice a week on this grow) but I just didn't get to it yesterday. Better late than never. The girls are 40 days old today!!!:happy-birthday::party:

The first 4 are pictures of the girls, the last picture is of my bigest and most grown up girl showing you her young buds developing (monday night pot porn!!!!). It gets me all tingly and excited just thinking of the things I'm planning on doing to her and her sisters in the near future (only a matter of a few weeks!!). Oh well enough talk, here are the pics (they are all healthy and green and growing, with one who is a bit runty and very compact, should be the first pic of the bunch).

Now for the my Monday night pot porn picture of the day!!!

My girls are really growing now. Tomorrow will be 6 weeks, 4-7 weeks left (i'm guessing probably on the shorter end of this but who knows, i'd rather be conservative). I am planning on starting my next grow in my new veg chamber in about a 1.5 weeks from now and significantly before I finish harvesting my current grow. This should give me a big jump on my next grow time-wise. I think my girls are growing about an inch a day maybe more (except for the runt and she is accelerating her growth just not as much as her sisters). I removed the layer of 1 gallon buckets except for my runt because they were up to the plexi heat shield. I must say they seem to be healthy and growing well. Keeping my fingers crossed that this continues.

BTW thanks for all the support and encouraging comments. It always helps keep me motivated!! :thanks:

Nick, that is what I am hoping for. So far, my foray into growing has been a success. My plan was to stop buying and start growing my own. The veg chamber will, i think, get me to the point where unless there is a crop failure I will have all the smoke I need. That will be a good feeling, never having to worry about a break in the supply chain. Sweet!!!! Watered and fed the girls tonight, I will get pictures after they perk up a bit, probably tomorrow night. They always look a bit droopy after a good watering/feeding session and I want the pictures to get them at their best!! :riskybusiness:.

As promised yesterday, pictures of my girls. They are growing like mad. The tallest one has grown over 1.5" in just 24 hrs. The rest are growing well, but are a bit behind. With out any more chit chat ..... here they are:

Looking awesome painted..... I like the plant risers, good idea...

Thanks Grizz. Just seemed the easy way to keep the plants in close to the lights while minimizing the light move (read that as potential to break bulbs which are expensive). The girls appreciate the compliment!!!:thanks:

My girls are 50 days old today :party::party::party::party::party::party::party::party::party::high-five:

I had to go out of town from Sunday morning to Wednesday late. I watered and fed the girls very well just before I left. There was water in their drip pan. When I return i saw this on the biggest and best looking of my girls:

The rest looked much better, more like this:

I watered all of the girls. I gave them 2 quarts of clean pH'd water. This evening I am feeding them until i get some runoff. I have given each of them a quart so far. I expect it to take a total of ~1/2 gallon each with the water I gave them the previous night. They have mostly recovered : a few leaves and buds still look pretty sickly and may not make it. If they don't start to perk up by tomorrow I will remove them for the good of the rest of the plant. Other than that they all seem to be coming back just fine and are again growing like weed. :high-five:

PS it took a total of 3/4 of a gallon additional to get runoff. Boy they must have been thirsty, that's 5 gallons of water used in 4.5 days for 4 plants. :yikes:Yow that's a bunch.:yikes:

OK a little update. The girls are doing well, I had to snip off some dead and dieing buds/leaves but not too many. Since then all of the plants have come back well. They are budding like mad, no mass yet but lots of buds starting to get the puffball shape. I can already see the crystals forming on some of the more mature plants. Here is a picture blast of where they were yesterday. Consider this my Saturday morning pot porn :Namaste: contribution. I can already just imagine the future smoke I will be getting :circle-of-love:

BTW I have started my new grow (that will be#3). It is a blue mystic from nirvana in coco loco under cfl. This is my first photoperiod plant. Come see the fun when I start my new grow log shortly. :green_heart:

Spitz, Join the party. Everybody is welcome. Have a seat and enjoy the show!!!:welcome:

And what a show it is... Looking great painted... Those flowers are forming nicely indeed...actually that was a little understated.. Didn't expect that update, awesome man...

Thanks Grizz, I have to admit this grow is going well so far. Keep your fingers crossed ... hoping to get some great smoke out of this. Last grow I started having issues about at this point in the grow. But so far so good, and no indications of any issues since a brief case of "the claw". I adjusted nutes a bit and now the girls are looking great!! I am starting to see significant amounts of trichromes even with the naked eye. I haven't taken my microscope to them but I will soon(have to dig it out from under a bunch of other crap that i have to figure out what to do with when i move it ...... sigh:surrender:). They are starting to have significant smell when they are touched. So far not as much odor as I would have thought from the reviews and descriptions but I am near the beginning of the major bud formation.
