I wanted to make sure I thanked you because earlier this afternoon I was just noticing some slight mottling on the blue mystic reveg in my grow chamber. Based on the pictorial you provided, I think it has a minor magnesium deficiency. I sprayed the leaves with some epsom salts in water to see if this helps. I am also aware of some pH problems o an unknown magnitude as I had a pH probe go south on me right in the middle of a feeding, didn't notice until i had finished. I am going to do a full flush on these all this weekend anyway that should solve a lot of the pH problem.

It is sunday evening and the girls have been flushed and fed. I put 5 gallons of pH adjusted water (adjusted to 5.8-6.0) through each plant then fed with 1 gallon of nutes. Checked the pH and ppm at the start of effluent, at the end of the water and at the end of the nutes. In each case the pH was way high (well over 7) on all but one of the girls at the start due to my pH probe going south on me last weekend and setting my ph too high. By the time 5 gallons had gone through the pH had dropped to the upper edge of acceptable (6.7-7). After the food they were all 6.3-6.6. PPM at the end ran from 1000-1300ppm. I will probably do this again next weekend just to make sure that I have this set of nut issues behind me.
I used a different flushing method than I have used before. I used a small diameter siphon tube (see pictures below) that took ~45 minutes -1hr to transfer 5 gallons of water into my pots. As water percolated through the system I used a shop vac to pull the excess water from under the plant. Periodically I emptied the wet dry vac and continued. I have pictures of my setup as well as pictures of all the girls.
First a little pictorial of my flushing system. I used a shop vac designed to use a 5 gallon bucket as the receptacle. It is cheap and easily replaceable.
I place the hose with at the base of my fabric pots and turn on the vac so that no water accumulates in the dish under the pot.
I stacked buckets on one another and then siphoned the water directly to the base of the plant and just let it run. So far other than knocking the hose out of the dish and having a minor over flow of the dish the system has worked like a charm.
NOw for the weekly pot porn shoot: same girls in the same order as last time. Just look how they have grown!!!

I see in one of your pics that you have a bag of Ocean Forest visible. I have grown most of mine with OF and had great luck. I am now trying coco loco and am on day 4. Going very well, the same as OF. Have you used both OF and CL? What, if any, is the difference in watering? Did you use the same schedule? Does one hold water longer than the other? Seems the CL should drain faster and need water everyday?

Schtiggy I have used both Ocean forrest alone as well as Coco Loco by itself. I also have used mixture of OF and CL as well as CL and happy frog. They all worked fairly well but I seemed to have the best luck with the mixed system .... only 4 grows under my belt so I dont have a huge amount of data. My next grow (in 10-12 weeks away) will be a mix of CL and OF. . Coco Loco does drain very well and needs watering a bit more often but still retains the water fairly well. I am growing in 5 gallon fabric pots. Early veg or during seedling stage once a week or so on the watering. Later maybe twice a week. I don't really have a watering schedule, I Feed about once a week, and water when the pots feel light. When using a mix of coco loco and other soil, it is not as fast draining and the pH seems to stay put better (with coco loco alone I had to watch my pH closely as it would move quite a lot between watering/feedings).

Thanks for the reply. I am still in seedling stage with CL. I am at 4oz H2O every 2 days. It seems to dry out quicker the OF.

Watered and fed the girls.Added a MarsHydro reflector 48 to the mix. Here are a bunch of pictures of them. Next week I will start 1212 with all of the crop. They should be harvested ~christmas.

Thanks Nick. The girls are doing great!! The minor brown spots I thought was nute problems. Turns out it appears to have been light burn. I turned the Mars Hydro light to just "bloom" and no new spots and the girls are still growing like mad. Here are pictures of what I have going right now.
First is girl #1. She is a blue mystic grown from seed and planted in late august. She is now my tallest girl. She stands 46" tall and may continue to grow for a bit but I hope not or she will be getting too close to the light and I'll see light burn again.
Girl number two is a Nirvana Super Skunk and is 2 weeks younger than girl #1. She stands 34" tall.
Girl #3 is a Nirvana Wonder Woman. She stands 30" tall and is the same age as girl #2.
Girl #4 is a revegged Blue Mystic. She is 40" tall but bushy with lots of bud sites, should be a very good producer.
The next 3 girls are being grown under 1 mars 300 and 1 mars reflector 48.
Girl #5 is a Nirvana White Widow Autoflower. She stands 36" tall and is the same age as Girl #1.
Girl #6 is a reveg of a reveg nirvana blue mystic (see girl 4).
And finally, the last of my girls. Girl 7 is either a super skunk or a wonder woman. I'm not sure. When I first planted these two of my originals died. So I planted another pair of the same strains. However, one of the supposed dead plants managed to eek through and grow so I kept her around and here she is a couple months later. I'm just not entirely sure which strain actually survived. Who care ... she is healthy now and growing great.
I switched over to 12/12 a little over a week ago, and am now looking at harvesting sometime in the middle of December. The autoflower may come in a bit earlier like the 1st of dec. But we will see. Should be a very Green Christmas

Your girls are amazing.If your plant got light burn,you can raise the light a little bit,but we you cannot only turn on Bloom switches.Reflector series,the Growth switch control the fan of the light,if you only use Bloom model,it's not good for the light.

for the heads up on the fans on the light. I'll try it on the growth switch only for now as I don't have any room for raising the lights. I do have one question. Why would they design it that way??? If it is true that the flower switch should be on only if the bloom switch is also on or you might damage the light, then maybe the light should use a three position switch - off(equivalent to both bloom and growth switches being off, fan off), low (equivalent to the growth switch on and the bloom switch off, fan operating) and high (equivalent to the growth and bloom switches both on, fan operating). I don't believe this caution was in anything I read when I bought the lights .... might be a good idea of including it. If I had not been writing this grow log I would have never known there was anything wrong with running the light with just the bloom switch on. Either that or redesign the unit so that the fan runs as necessary under any condition it normally would encounter including the growth switch off and the bloom switch on. Other than that I have been loving the Mars Hydro units I have been growing under since July. They are GREAT.

I'm getting ready to go on vacation (Bahama cruise wAAAAAAAhoooooo!). I don't have time to label and talk about the pictures .... I gotta get packed and such. So hear is a Pot Porn blast. My girls are doing phenomenally!!!!! Can't wait to see them whan I get back. Well without further talk here are my latest pictures.

Finally things are slowing down a bit after vacation. The girls all look to me to have 2-4 weeks left to go, after a very minor spot of what I think were spider mites I'm just watching the buds fatten up. Should be a green Christmas and a green new year. Here are a bunch of pics . Hope you enjoy this Tuesday pot porn parade. Looking pretty scrumptious to me ......
