NuLife's Soilless Lemon OG Haze Auto: Grow Journal 2016

Yesterday I snipped all the tops of the buds for a little bud building on Plant 2. All plants have been snipped now, though Plant1 only had half the plant snipped.

9/28/16 Week 12 Flowering Day 59 - Here are pics of the trichomes for Plant1. They are still mostly clear. This is taking FOREVER!!!! LOL

9/30/16 Week 12 (Week 13 Tomorrow) Flowering Day 61 - Well today was harvest day for Plant1, but I fucked up. I kept looking for milky or amber trichomes and there wasn't any. After speaking with another growing who is growing the same type of plant, he harvested at 12-13 weeks, stating that they never turned Amber or completely milky. They were clear with a bit of milky in it. I should've trusted my gut when I started to realize the smell was becoming faint. Ugh. My bad. Lesson learned, don't just trust looking for trichomes colors. When I finally took the plant out of the grow room, into pure white light, I could see she was a bit brown in some parts of the buds. When cutting her, she even had a hollow branch. The other branches didn't have any moisture in them when cut. So I definitely messed up. I harvested immediately and spent the day trimming.

Wet weight is 262.23g, so I didn't make the 2oz per plant I was hoping, either. I will be harvesting the other plants soon.

I did bud washing today on quarter of the harvest. I did 3 buckets, first bucket with baking soda and lemon juice, and second and third bucket with plain water for rinsing. I hung them up, and placed a tiny fan 2 feet away to blow on just the wet ones. I'll keep the fan on just for the night and then will continue to dry them slowly with the others once they're not dripping anymore.

10/1/16 Week 13 - Today I did a ph water flush on both plants.

9/30 Plant2 Flowering Day 43: ph 5.71 in 5.84 out 702ppm - I did Week8 of the nutes schedule. I'm going to be watching this one closely too, I believe it's ready to harvest as well, but I want the colas to fatten up just a bit more. She smells awesome and looks good.

9/30 Plant3 Flowering Day 49: ph 5.66 in 5.84 out 711ppm - I did Week9 of the nutes schedule. I will be harvesting this plant tomorrow or Monday. She smells amazing. There's nothing dry on her, and she looks good and healthy. Trichomes are clear with a bit of milkiness, one or two very very faint ambers.

:welcome: Farmer, thanks for the info, I had no idea that's what happens in coco, never read that anywhere. So much to learn. That's a huge relief, so thanks for letting me know.

:thanks:
:high-five:

Hollow stems are normal in coco. Nice harvest, other plants looking good :bravo:

Hey Hab, here's my post from page 4...

I bought the 420 Brand 60-100x LED Handheld Microscope ($17) and used on my first grow. It's a great little microscope, but honestly trying to decide the right time to harvest with only a few trichomes at a time here and there, is a little bit harder than seeing a ton of trichomes in one shot on your laptop and with the ability to zoom in even further. I got the Zorb Digital 65-85x Microscope found on Amazon if anyone is interested for $45. This thing takes pictures and video of what you're trying to magnify. The $28 difference is worth it.

(LOL and though it's easier, still didn't prevent me from harvesting the first Lemon plant a bit late. lol)

So how do you get those micro shots? what camera?

Hab.

:thanks: Snid, I appreciate that, less mess ups this time but different mess ups, more opportunities to learn I guess. lol

I'd give you more reps for this most recent harvest but I have to wait before I can give any more. I'll just say.... Great job once again Nunu, you're finding your groove just fine. Keep up the good work and...

KiG :green_heart:cheers
