Another First Timer Green Crack Fem LED Grow

It will stretch for sure. To say how much it's hard since every plant is different. I have had some that doubled, some that went 3x the size. More vertical growing won't hurt since you have the space for it. Once you flip you can visibly notice her grow upwards everyday. The preflowering stretching usually lasts 2-4 weeks until she will focus more on bud production and trichnomes but it will still go up from there too.

Day 42

Took her out for an inspection and tuck some more fan leaves. I'm thinking day 60'ish will be flip day. We'll see how she looks. As for defoliation, again I'm not sure I'll take many away. We will see what the stretch is like.

The canopy is perfectly even to me, so that's a

Day 47

She was ph watered 4 days ago. Not much else going on, but thought I'd throw in an update.

She has definitely been drinking more water the last two and a half weeks. The schedule has been a day earlier each of the previous two weeks. I expect it to be an early watering/feeding this week too judging how light it was pulling her out of the tent. It's a nute week, so I'm excited to see the jump in growth even more .

I have eased up on any lst'ing. I'm going to see how the height grows over the next couple of weeks and do any adjusting as needed. But I'm hoping to get a little more vertical.

Hey thanks Mike10!

I was just thinking of that. Did I over lst if I'm not going to veg long enough to get the secondary nodes larger? In a way, am I wasting time right now?

I think I had the same thing happen that I did not allow secondary nodes to grow larger. So my nugs won't be as long or tall as others. But still happy with it. No your not wasting time. You learn from every grow! She's looking great, keep it up!

Thanks Mike. I know I'm over analyzing all this, but at the same time I've having way to much fun :thumb:

I've got close to two weeks left before I make the flip (as long as I think she will still fit in the tent lol) So perhaps I can squeeze another few inches vertically out of some of the secondary nodes.

Just caught up and subbed in. Great job on LST, and don't second guess your decision on a long veg, it's totally worth It! Looks like you might be moving to a bigger pot soon!

You've already taken steps to keep her short, so if you keep up with it you won't outgrow the tent.

I'm about to finish up my first grow, so I might not have much help to give, but I'll chime in when I can!

Good luck and welcome!

Thanks for the reassurance

Bigger pot? You think I'll need to if she's flipped to 12/12 soon? I hadn't planned on anything bigger than a 5 gallon, all I've read was 5 was plenty for a 60 day veg and flower

My bad, looked more like 3 gallon pots from the pic. 5 gallon is great, but since you only have one plant you could transfer to 7-10 gallons for max root space. As long as you have at least a week from transfer to switch you should be good... that being said, 5 gallon will work amazingly. Just my 2 cents

I was looking at ordering a few different sizes, 3's for a couple autoflowers for the next grow...maybe, and a 7. I think I'll stay with the 5 on this first go around. One less thing for me to screw up :laughtwo:

BTW, your buds are looking great. Getting close to harvest time like you said!

Nice grow man bushy is the way to go. I would untie all branches and let it grow up the days before flip. Do you plan to scrog?

Yeah I've got all the branches untied right now except the main cola. Although it too isn't tied down enough to prevent upward growth.

As for the scrog, I hadn't planned on it for this one plant grow. Being the first time, I'll keep it as simple as I can get. I'll adjust branches as needed throughout the flowering. Plus I imagine watering with a scrog in place is a bitch? I take her out of the tent each time. Either outside or in the bathtub for watering/feeding.

When the plant stretches the bottom of the plant is not visible to light so feeding will be easier with lollipopping done. But you're doing great we all newbies fly by the seat of our Plants haha

Its just the run off that is a bother. The whole way through I planned things with height in mind. So right now the fabric pot isn't lifted up from the tray very much to accommodate a whole bunch of run off. And I don't want her sitting in it for too long. There are ways around that for sure, wet vack or lifting her up a bit and placing an even deeper tray underneath that can be removed. We will see how this plays out I guess. I have a feeling removing from the tent each time is going to be a pain in the ass too lol
