Darcy’s First Grow: Cali OG Kush x Haze

@Pennywise , would I have to start a new journal if I started a Diesel?

So it’s been 24 hours since the transplant. All four are slightly drooping down. Not terrible but enough that I noticed. From what I understand this is pretty normal after re-potting. They still look good and healthy. I’ll be adding the fertilizer on the next watering, which I’m guessing will be Wednesday or Thursday. This will be the tester where I’ll get to see how long it takes for the new 1 gallon pots to dry out. Cheers!

Lookin good. They're not completely fallen over, so I'd say a success. Be sure to read The Proper Way To Water A Potted Plant

Hi Darcehard, your seedlings are coming along nicely. Did I see that you are from Vancouver as well?

Yea I ended up in Vancouver 8 years ago! I love the mountains, will never go back to Onterrible lol. This is my first time growing anywhere tho. Total newbie

So yesterday I gave the babies their first feeding. Added a quarter strength fertilizer with the watering. They seem to be happy again after the transplant, and to be honest I think the look even better today after the fertilizer yesterday! Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me they are starting to grow a lot faster

Day 4 after transplant, I day after fertilizer

It’s been five days since adding the fertilizer. The plants seem to be taking off! Super exciting! They seem to be growing at a rate where I can actually see the difference each day aside from that the weather is starting to be more consistently warm. I’m hoping in the next 3 weeks I’ll be able to start hardening them off for a transition to outdoors. Although it is getting warmer this damn rain is still hanging around, just go away lol! I need the ground to dry up a bit

This the one Early Miss i have. She is the strongest so far. Slightly pulling ahead of the others.

Cut a 55 US gal HDPE drum in half, and you'll have two planters you can keep above ground level for better drainage. Put them on wheels, and you'll be able to move them to the garage in case of a late (or early) frost or unwanted rain. Dont forget to put lots of drainage holes in the bottoms.

Hey @Darcehard looking good - how'd they take to the feeding?

Thats great! Any plans for training like topping or LST?

Ya I want to give something a try for sure! I’m hoping all four plants continue to be healthy so maybe I can try something different on each one. I’ll definitely top at least two. I’ll be growing outside without any height restrictions so I’m ok with them being tall. That being said I don’t expect my first ever grow to be anything spectacular lol.

So I watered the plants yesterday, they are really taking off! I’m super pumped. They’ll be nice and big when I finally stick them outside. I’ll be doing another feed on the next watering. Last time I added 2.5ml of reffertilizer grow to 2l of water and did all 4 plants. Next time I will do the same I think. They really liked it but I don’t want to push it too fast

Here’s the Early Miss. doing well and very happy

Okay so it’s been a few days since the last update. The plants got another round of feeding yesterday. Considering they have been growing like crazy I didn’t use the half strength mix but went full. I’m hoping the girls don’t mind and take it all in! Lots of new growth all over, the Early Miss is no longer clearly ahead. The Cali og is catching up quickly! The weather is also coming around a bit for me, lots of sunny days lately. I have begun setting the plants in front of our sliding doors and windows during the daytime to adjust them to the sun. I’m hoping if it continues like this I’ll be able to transition to outside by the end of May completely.

Here’s a few shots of the plants. The first couple are Cali OG kush x haze and the the last is the Early Miss

Can anyone tell me, the small leaves growing at the base of the other leaves, are those new branches? Or is it just new leaves?? Thanks.
