First Grow Journal 2010 by Crazy Horse

ive changed my mind about flowering!

im starting 12/12 tonight, ill just have to 'wing' it lol i cant let it veg any bigger, im already pushing my luck with the lights ive got and i cant wait any longer than 70/80 days for some bud!

< < i should look something like my avitar when its ready lol

i wonder if it works with cannabis plants lol

WATER CUCUMBERS AND RADISHES WITH MELTED SNOW

Experiments carried out in the Siberian Botanical Garden
showed that cucumbers and radishes, watered with melted snow,
grew twice as fast as the control plants watered with ordinary
water. Similar results occurred in experiments with wheat.
Why is melted snow better for plants than ordinary water? Snow
contains about 40 percent less heavy water or deuterium oxide
than normal water. Deuterium (symbol of D) is a heavy isotope
a form of hydrogen, but slightly different. When combined with
oxygen it does not form the water molecule, H2O; instead the
molecule D2O is formed. Normally, about one water molecule in
every 6,000 is found to be a heavy water molecule. But somehow
the formation of snow removes many of these heavy water
molecules.
Scientists have discovered that D2O slows down some chemical
and biological processes. So, when heavy water molecules are
removed, plants seem to grow faster.

 Siberian Botanical Garden  This a serious article?

lol em i think so! i found it when i melted some snow one day and put my moisture meter in it, it said moist???, when i put it in my tap water it said wet! i was well puzzled ,labrat told me why it was happening and i also done a google search and found that.

Now that you flipped the switch to 12/12 how long did you veg for?

i think i started near the 1st of january, so ive vegged for around 50/60 days (not sure exactly)
i did bend its stem when it only had its first set of leaves and overfed it a few weeks later! that would have slowed its progress quite a bit.

clones started on the 16th feb (10 days to root)

well it looks like ive got some pistils showing..at last, ill get some pics up later.
i also started to germ my african buzz(malawi gold), its a regular seed so if its male i think ill mess around with some amateur breeding, super lemon haze x malawi gold lol that should be fun! :ganjamon:

can anyone help me with using molasses? i need to know how much to use and if using cane sugar type is ok?, i noticed most folk using liquid molasses but i could not find any!

I put ~ 1 Tbsp in my ph'ed water from the start of bloom as that is when I was adding my beneficial "tonic" to get a good colony growing. I imagine earlier would be good too, is just when I start to ramp up my feedings. It also supplies cal, mag and iron. I don't give it with my nutes.

I actually just pour it in the jug (got a feel for how much from measuring it), sometimes I end up with about 2 Tbsp (high side dose) on accident (can really tell after shaking), but I don't fret it. The jug needs vigorously shaken to mix it in and thoroughly washed after as molasses will mold in the container, so use what you make (houseplants like it too). It is slightly acidic, so you might have to adjust for it.

:peace:

:thumb: Posted that in my journal for ya, but easy to move it here too. :peace:

Looking good man, looking like a 10 year vet. :) Is this your first time growing slh?

yes its the first time ive grown it and i only ordered 1 seed so im kinda lucky! it seems to clone real easy too, all looking good so far, thanks for stoppin by sky rocket :smokin:

just checking in again, and i must say it looks great in there! got the entire cycle of life :ganjamon:

lol, i never thought about it like that, i suppose i have! slh is by far the best plant ive grown, nice to know my clones worked so i can keep those genetics.
