First Indoor Grow DWC/LED

Hey, Turttle. I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I could use your advice. I went to a couple different hydro stores to see if I could find MaxSea. Nobody in my area seems to carry it. I'll order some eventually but, in the meantime I've got Fox Farm's "Grow Big" and "Big Bloom". Are these going to be sufficient? I don't know if Magnesium is an issue with these nutes, but my soil already has plenty of it from the dolomitic limestone I added. If I've flushed my pots multiple times, is my MG soil going to have any of its controlled release fertilizers left?

Those are some serious root pornstars you have there!

Good to hear the hygrozyme is doing well for you. I ended up using h2o2, so for the rest of my grow I'm sticking with it, as everything is going well.

Looking good!

Hey airavata thanks for the kind words. No not hijacking at all.The grow big is some pretty good stuff and should cover all the plants requirments I would recomend downloading the feeding chart from fox farm. With the big bloom I would recomend mixing it with the grow big as it has quanos and castings and it keeps roots healthy and keeps salt build up in check. For flower your going to need something with a little more kick.I would recomend the tiger bloom with open sesami or beastie blooms. The FF dry enhancers are pretty spendy but in any case you will need the tiger bloom.I would recomend a bud inhancer with the use of ff trio pack for bigger buds. But as for a healthy plant the trio should be good @ 1/4-1/2 streangth.I have been using only fox farm in my bubble bucket and followed the feeding schedule keeping my ppm around 500 and I have not had any deficiencys. With the maxsea I half to add some sort of mag.:peace:

PS I looked into the morocrop it says it only last up to six weeks.I am really iffy on it as I could not find much information with the ingredience off there sight. As for the scotts micacle grow potting soil I would recomend adding there scotts osmocote plus trf to the mix as it is a really light soil.
If using the FF I would use that with there ocean forest potting soil(or 50/50 with scotts mg) in a 5 gallon planter per plant.MJ roots really like to reach out the more rootspace the happyer she will be.I really like the FF because it its really simple to use and has the complete line of macro and micro along with benefits of sea weed quanos sea bird droppings and earthwarm castings.

Thanks, dude. That's a lot of good info. So for the FF, by 1/2-1/4 strength, you mean 1/2-1/4 the amount they say to use for each product on the chart? I didn't realize I needed anything more than big bloom for my 12/12 plants until I after I fertilized and realized there were no micronutrients. So I fertilized with just 4 Tbsp/gal of that. I know I need the Tiger Bloom now, but is what I did going to hurt them, you think?

How's it going turttle?!

Another good additive for roots are Subculture-B: Bacterial Root Inoculant and Subculture-M: Mycorrhizal Root Inoculant. Both made by General Hydroponics. These are very good additives for roots within any setup. Check them out! The hydro-shop guy turned me onto them.

Yeah thanks man.I am going to half to look into that.I hear nothing but good things when it comes to GH.I am using the hydrozyme at the moment and seems to be working pretty good.If you have any label info or use remcomendations you are more than welcom to post the info I am very interested in seeing different products and ideal of use.

Have a little up date on the clones. Both seem to be locked into flower and I am now using full spectrum of light.I also did a res changed and both are now on FF schedul of bloom and open sesami. To much work as maxsea ph keeps rising to quikly. But maxsea has a larger root davelpment and about equal in flower size next to ff bloom with chaching. But any way I still put a pinch or 3 in my ff pots to bump the ppm and plants have a positive responce with out burning lol.Hard to do with ff as the npk is all ready way up there so all in all it seems to be working out. Most definately will be using maxsea for soil and outdoor as a stand alone:blunt:

Thanks NuNugz I looked into to that and yes your right it is spendy.I think its simular to the hydrozyme.Sounds like its some really good stuff that goes well with organic.I like that it comes in dry form and a little bit goes a long way.Your grow is one of the healthiest Ive seen even the leaf veins are solid thanks for sharing Nugz.:)

Turttle, I just wanted to say :goodjob: so far with your grow. I've just started germinating seeds for my first grow w/ DWC & LED and have been following your progress here. Best wishes!

Started feeding with beastie blooms ph 5.8-6.0 @400-450ppm Hanna .5 cal.

Here is a little update.I half to say this light is far from replacing a 600 watt hps or even my 400 watt for that matter LOL.But not totally disapointed I may make a very small stealth cab for it.I have allready used my 90 day trial but all in all it does flower.Things should be coated with crystals by now?IDK.From seed to grow conditions things have not been 100 percent but I am hanging in there. All in all I guess not to bad so far with low wattage lighting:smokin:
