Autofacade

Ok guys so firstly welcome to my I think 3rd grow journal picking up advice and tips over the last 2 years! Hopefully I may have just got there this time round! WARNING I DO WAFFLE A TAD. This is the first grow I can do indoors no limitations so it's all game on the only thing stopping me is if I get rumbled (UK twat rules) fingers crossed!!!!

So the plan! I'm looking to use the new echo thrive soil "just add water" (will I feck I cant help to tinker @Emilya has taught me far too much). So full orangics as always starting with a 20/4 cycle then to the 12/12. It's a fully insulated room 3x3m outside with electricity (garage if you like). Here is my set up:

8x Glookies by Barnies Farm
Started in a small tent .75x.75x.90 under a 300w cfl.

Grow room:
Bud box pro 1.2mx2.4mx2m
2x 600w adjustable digital hps dual spectrum bulbs
2x home made fabric pots each containing 160ltrs of soil that 4 plants will share.
(280ltrs echo thrive
80ltrs plant magic supreme)
I'll be running an oscilating fan and tube heater at one end of the tent (opposite to the extraction)
6" rhino pro filter with a RVK inline fan and sound proof ducting pumping out of the room.

Plan:
All organic! Only using soil amendments and compost teas throughout the grow maybe with a little help from some calmag and silica.
Start them off under the 300w CFL then move them up under the hps set up. Get em real bushy planning on topping at least twice. Then flattening them right down with super crop techniques and adding a trellis ontop. Hit em into flowering and see how we go! Will also be looking at cloning the strongest performers.

I hope I can get some watchers and followers I've had a lot of help in the passed including the queen of organics emilya (get ready for more interrogation). Let's see if this echo soil is what I states i have herd awesome results! I'll be building the room up from scratch and will be taking you through that. Should pop some seeds in january!

Pull up a chair and get ready!

Autofacade out!

Is your glookies from seed or clone?

I ask because my last grow was glookies from seed.

Popped 5 seeds, got 4 distinct phenos.

Heads up, they were extremely hungry for cal mag.
Hey dude thanks for stopping in! Will be great to have you in the team as you have grown this strain already.

They will be from seed gunna pop 10 just to be on the safe side! After that if I like the strain I'll be taking cuttings and cloning.

Calmag awesome I will be using water from the river a stones through away so should have the calmag in there but I also have calmag with me so will make sure I put extra in thankyou for the heads up dude!

Here is a little update guys I've got the set up rocking!!!! Just need to get the climate under control and sort the extraction out then I can run it up and get everything dialled In the big tent.

I've got the seedling and starting veg tent ready loaded with the 300w cfl. Have a heated propergating unit on route that will go in there.

Everything is going a little too well at the moment! Touch wood should carry on!

What I learned on my glookies from seed grow:

It’s bushy. Really bushy. Lots of leaves.

It craves cal mag

It takes all of 10 weeks to finish. The sativa dom I got would have gone 13.

Low odor which can be a plus

Good yield. Top knots are huge. Lower bud struggle to get light due to having so many leaves.

I tried defoliating, plant hated it. Spent the next week regrowing leaves.

I’m scrogging it this go round.

This is what we will be doing trellis and flipping to flower fairly early to limit that stretch. 10 weeks isn't bad although a bit a fib from barneys farm but no surprise there haha. But the strain sounds right up my street from what your describing! And good idea on the pheno will take cuttings from the plants I like also.

How long did you veg for? And final yield per plant?

I vegged about 10 weeks from seed.

Yeild per plant varied.

The strong indica pheno was just over 4oz dry. The weakest pheno was only 2 oz.

The sativa pheno was 3oz, but could have been much better.

You’ll get good ones and bad ones from seed. That’s why you want to label them, so you can isolate the strong phenos.

Pretty sure I’ll get 600 grams out of this second go round from 4 plants in a 4x4 area. Plants are much healthier looking than the seed grow, and I’ve culled the weak phenos.

That’s pretty good yeild in water only soil in a tent. Lol

My goal is never really yeild, If it was I’d use hydro, not soil.

My goal is potency, taste and a nice clean burn to white ash.

Good yeild is a bonus. Lol

Ok guys a bit of an update the seedling/cutting tent is up and running I now have the entire room sitting between 19-20°C. Going for a dummy run with my tent over the weekend with everything set up. All lights on, the lot on a 18/6 cycle want to see what my high and lows are and adjust. Hit a slight snag and I'm a little worried about the safety.
I have alot of negative pressure sucking in the sides some what! is it safe to continue over the weekend? I didn't think the tent would bow as much as it is and having 2 600w cfl the last thing I want to do is burn the gaff down. It's not exactly cheap the being the budbox pro. Take a look at the pics and please advise!

Ok so hello folks! Teething problems sorted! A few new additions to the grow we have ditched the 2 big 200ltr containers and gone for 8×56ltrs to have more control over each plant and to have a bit more room to move. We have also had a new tent received and an inlet fan installed. We have the heater and extraction now on a thermometer to get better control over the growing area. Running both hps at 400w we now sit at 74°f and lights off 69-70°f humidity is a little low at 45% perfect for the flowering though. So we are set to go!!! Seedlings are fully up and running strong sitting 10" off the 300w cfl and first water with a little seaweed and katana root stimulant. So far best I've ever seen seed taken off. Echo thrive so far so good! Watch this space gunna have some big girls in this set up for sure!

So 10 days in. From seed!
We now have our first 3 finger leaves coming out to play and the next set well on there way. I made a little treat for them today. 4 banana peels, 3 egg shells dried and crushed, enough rain water to cover it and some bactor and fungi to speed things up a little I'll be using this in a week or so as one of my banana boosters full or potassium and the eggs a huge calcium boost. Let's see how things go impressed so far!

So coming to an end of week 2. Up potted to a 3ltr pot and they have shot up and out over the last 48hours. We are now also pumping 400w out of the hps but still staying at a safe 2.5ft away to slowly introduce them to what they will be staying on over the next couple of weeks. Unsure of what height I should finally stop at but the girls will soon tell me. I will be giving them thier first foliar tomorrow defo needing the calmag. So it will be 1ml bio wetter and 1ml calmag to 1ltr of RO water at tent temp which will go over them within the first hour of lights off. Thier first tea is also brewing which contains calmag, silica, katana root stimulant, charge, sea weed, mychorhizae, bactor, molasses, fish mix and a drop of super thrive. This super soil, echo thrive has all the food apparently needed to just add water from start to finnish so I'm a little hesitant to add anything heavy feed just purely the little pieces to the puzzle and the support elements to get this soil really booming! For these mothers to grow big and juicy! Next week fimming!!!!

Big milestone today. All plants were fimmed and a slight little compost tea. I also put a load of tea over the 56ltr pots to keep them alive. These girls are 14 days old from first true leaves! Weeks 3 begins today.

Not sure how I missed you... but I am here now! Looking great so far!
Thanks @Emilya It always gets a little more excited when your on the scene as you taught me pretty much everything I know about organics and how it works. And considering my previous attempt was such a flop this is the first time I'm able to use your knowledge! Glad to have you here!

Latest update this is now in week 3 day, 19 in total. Last time I saw them I had fimmed them (first time I have tried this technique as I normally top but I want to get that real Bush of a plant. I found all of them had chucked up some what in the stalk and now there leaves are bigger than the container. The vertical growth had continued which surprised me and some are acting as if nothing happened but then you look at the the bottom colars starting to stretch out and you notice they getting fat! Also noticed all the pots have beautiful white fluffy roots coming out all over the shop! But these girls dont fall me they are going to have to play ball! They havent drunk enough water and they wont get transferred until they do! I'm still in two minds on whether I want to up pot to a 16ltr pot before going to the but 56ltr tubs but I will think on that one! One side of the tent seem to be staying more indica the other side of the tent seemed to be going more sativa. So I swapped all the plants round left to right just to make sure it's not I've been sold a shoddy bulb! I think they will be up potted monday!
