Well i decided to get started on making a flowering box , I picked this nice solid wooden armoire up for $25 used in great condition that retails for around 150 new at ikea so yeah it was a steal its 24'' x 24'' x 55'' so this will give me about an extra 20-24'' of canopy space depending on how i construct my lights and about 6'' on each side and the box fits perfect where i made space for it , plan on removing the wooden shelve and the bottom 2 racks while growing as i can use the racks to dry my yields.

Well no i have a bit of the same material i used in my veg box left so i will use that and cover them and use ond of the racks upside down and construct a reflective hood

Very nice way to use the resources you have. That saves a ton of cash, and it's already a perfect size to fit in the cabinet! Rig up the hangers so it's adjustable, and pack that rack full of lights!

Well here is the progress for tonight , spent 20 bucks at lowes to make this reflector , ran out of hvac foil tape for the reflective material on the doors but i plan to add another power strip for additional lighting and a pc fan up high for exhaust and a passive intake like my veg box and a clamp light that will clamp to my light fixture and adjust with them.

Looking great!! Im in for this one also! Only problem I see with your new setup is going to be heat. Your reflector is as big as your box so not much air is going to escape and rise... It will be directed between the reflector and the bottom. You may want to cut a 3inch hole in the middle and put a fan to suck air and blow upwards! This will draw the heat from the CFL's.

you are reading my mind , if you notice thats why the sides of the reflector are open to allow air to rise and yeah i have a ac duct in the attic that i ran to help keep temps down

Looking like you're on the right track now! :bravo:
Thanks man , im waiting for them to dry out some so i can begin to feed them , them being so small in those large pots and the lower temps keeps the soil moist fairly long

re: Guttamanes First Box Build & Grow Attempt 2014

Ok , thanks man yeah i had added alot of perlite to these bigger pots when i transplanted them and yes i keep my fan running to move air around for me

re: Guttamanes First Box Build & Grow Attempt 2014

Humidity is between 40-60 percent

re: Guttamanes First Box Build & Grow Attempt 2014

I can only adjust the temps and humidity for the entire space where both boxes sit , I cannot adjust it for just one particular box I can work on that I have ideas

Well heres how my flower box is coming along , I have a incandesant bulb in there just testing the setup but i plan on having 6 23 watt 2700s and 2 55watt 2700 in the center and the fan i have up high is for exhaust and it was a battery operated desk fan i dissasembled and changed power source to 12v

re: Guttamanes First Box Build & Grow Attempt 2014

Yes antics , that is exactly how I have kept the humidity up in my veg cabinet i had put a sock inside of a cup of water and i keeps it around 53-62 percent , with the ac vent open and no towel my veg cabinet would dip down to low 30s even hit 27 percent humidity one time so naturally that attic seems dry so that will be a plus for my flower box .

re: Guttamanes First Box Build & Grow Attempt 2014

Update on my ladies , today they are 18 days from sprout and tm makes a week since they have been in the 1 gallon pots 2 of my bigger plants have started there 4th node so i decided why not top my biggest one to keep a somewhat even canopy , it went some what easy i just used my finger and moved the top back and fourth until it broke off i will try to put some pics up but its difficult as they are so small. Its been a week since they have been watered i was waiting for the pots to dry out entirely but the bottom inch or so seems to be taking long and iam sure that the roots are no where near the bottom of that pot yet meaning where they set in the pots is more than likely dry and has been for a day or so so im going to go ahead and feed them today and see what happens , I believe they are showing signs now as my healthier plants are showing slight yellowing on the lower leaves now . Also i checked the ph of my water and my tap is 6.9 and the water with my 1/4 nutes is 6.6
