How to Make a Grow Journal

So keeps telling me I dont have jounarl privileges but cant find anywhere that tells me what I need to do to unlock the journal writing privileges please help

With enough setup information in the beginning, your grow journal will be monitored and analyzed by master growers from all over the world. The more pride and effort you put into your journal, the more response, interaction and support you will receive from our members and staff.

First and foremost, please make sure to post your Grow Journal in the proper area for Journals In Progress.

Also, please make sure to use proper grammar and structure when choosing your thread title, your Name/Growing-Medium/Strain-Name/Year is a good start.

Examples:
420's Hydro Skywalker Grow Journal - 2010
420's Outdoor Skywalker Grow Journal - 2009
420's Soil Skywalker Grow Journal - 2010
420's Deep Water Culture Skywalker Grow Journal -2008

There are many journals hosted on 420 Magazine. You increase your potential number of subscribers when they can immediately determine the strain and grow method - right from your title.

Consider putting as much of the following information as possible to start the thread with.

What strain is it?
Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid? What percentages?
Is it in Veg or Flower stage?
If in Veg... For how long?
If in Flower stage... For how long?
Indoor or outdoor?
If indoor...Dimensions (L x W x D) of grow space?
Soil or Hydro?
If soil... what is in your mix?
If soil... What size pot?
Size of light?
Is it aircooled?
Temp of Room/cab?
RH of Room/cab?
PH of media or res?
Any Pests ?
How often are you watering?
Type and strength of ferts used?

This info will make it much easier for accurate help to be given when needed and keep the members interested in your grow.

EXAMPLE

Bucket Size - 3.5 gallon
Medium - 75% perlite 25% vermiculite.
Lights - (2) 400w HID
Nutrients - FloraNova Grow/Bloom, Floralicious Plus
Strain(s) - Blue Dream, Cannalope Haze, Lavender
# of Plants: 9
Yield : 14-16 Ounces.

The ONLY way to receive optimal attention, feedback and support is to provide photos!

I still don't understand how to do this

would it be ok if I started a journal half way through the process, I just started flowering about 2.5 weeks ago?
Buster
Me too Bro, well nearly 4 weeks. But, I s'pose the more info we put out there. The guys with experience will likely laugh, but there might be an idiot like me who found out 9 days ago that 10 of his plants are male and useless who can avoid any pitfalls. Maybe we can help another new guy or gal to avoid that silly scenario.

I'm starting my Journal in the morning, I've had a lot of help from 420 and the menbers here, so if mine helps one person, i'll be good!

Good luck with yours! :goodjob: :thumb:

Markup,

You can start anywhere, I think the main aspect is to list all of your grow details in the opening paragraph. tent size or grow room dimension, type of lights and the wattage, grow media, fans and ventilation, nutes plus amendments, anything unique to your grow.

All of this helps so we can see what you are running and if anything appears missing etc. also so we don’t have to keep asking is that soil or coco? Look at first paragraph in my journal for ideas, shoot a pic or two to seal the deal and your journal will be up and running in 15 minutes.

For any new post you have 7 hours with which to change or edit - after that time it’s locked in. Don’t worry if you grow in a cardboard box or mansion greenhouse, that doesn’t matter.

Thanks Bro, I wanted to start it this morning. But, I finally bit the bullet and executed the males I had and I've been cleaning the tent they were in all day just in case they have left anything behind them that might mess up the next ones that go in there. Appreciated my friend!

This is all good info... but I was looking for something to actually tell me how to navigate the site to make a journal ...Like click on this icon or whatever...I know it's all me my skill level on this smart phone is really bad. the sad part is I've posted journals here before.i have all the tools, but without the skill skills to use them...what useless tool I am.

@Canachris

Go to Journals in Progress.

At the top right of the page, you'll see a black box that says, "Create thread".

Click on that, put in your title, write the first post, click "Post thread" at the bottom, and you're away. :thumb:

Hello, so my journal is still in progress so when I want to add information do I go to the same journal in progress or do I have to create a new journal for every entry?
