Lewydeville’s Perpetual DWC With Fruit Spirit 2018

Those pics are just fricking awesome. Hard not to mention trimming when looking at all that bud. :p

Best work in the world if ya can get it, trimming your own buds. :thumb:

Very impressive grow. :woohoo:

Thank you very much SnowBound and welcome. I don’t actually mind trimming as such it’s just the length of time it takes and the crippling bad back it gives me. Now I’m back to multiple strains it should make it more manageable having staggered harvest. I’m ordering a rosin press as well so anything I can’t be bothered to trim will be dried and pressed.

Good morning Mr Flora. Nothing but blue skies here mate. A beautiful spring day. Don’t spoil it by mentioning trimming! Lol. It’s gone well this run. The smell from the tent is crazy. I can’t wait to get into trying some of these, especially the Tangie and second pheno of Fruit Spirit. They really do smell incredible. How’s the mrs doing?
She's good mate. At work at the moment so I'm in charge of the house lol. Just done some bud pics outside as it's so nice. Haven't had the chance to do that recently. Lol my trimming is nearly over. Just have to pick the last few plants then trim the Purple Chem then no more trimming until June :)

Update
I’ve been checking trichomes daily and the Blue Mistic is not ready yet. I’ve been counting the weeks wrong and they are actually 8 weeks from flip yesterday. Two weeks could see the end of 3 of these plants but I think the Tangie and second pheno of Fruit Spirit taking longer.

looking so beautiful now mate. roll on your harvest. I have been miscounting my dates for years and get arsey when they go over their weeks yntil i started counting from actual flowers starting and not 12/12 flip. makes mine "on time" more now. just a thought :goodjob::passitleft:

It’s my fav thing to do make hash. I use bubble bags and I find it very therapeutic. My latest run was brilliant (pics on page 10) but I think this next run could beat it! Going to be building a rosin press in the next few weeks so I can start squeezing as well.
Bubble hash, forever a classic.

Cheers GD. Thank god for 420 mag at least we can go back through our journals and check the dates! Can’t wait for harvest now.

Welcome Growca. I read your Incredible Bulk thread the other day and I’ve been meaning to ask about the back leads you use to hold branches down. Fellow carper?

Thanks man, your grow looks great. They’re weights and a branch bending product from a company called stem-trainer. Not the easiest things in the world to put on at first, but once you get to used to them can be useful for sure. I got them mainly for super leggy sativas to be used in place of a scrog net if/ where applicable and just have them a test run on the bulk.

What’s carping? Not a term I’m familiar with.

Thanks mate. They are exactly the same as back leads I use when fishing for carp. After you have cast out you place them on the line to keep it flat to the bottom so it doesn’t spook the fish. Just out of interest how much do you pay for them. They are very expensive in tackle shops for packs of 3.

Oh nice man, that must be EXACTLY what I bought - just rebranded as plant weights. How funny. Yeah definitely aren’t that cheap, I got 5 for $9. I have seen some other folks use fishing sinkers to accomplish the same thing which are definitely a cheaper alternative.

Checked the trichomes today and I’m well pleased to be able to harvest 3 plants in the next two days. Even more exciting is that whilst checking the Blue Mistic I found tons of purple trichomes which I’ve seen in pictures but never on my own plants. Can’t wait to order my press now in the hope of some purple rosin!!

Thank you Sog. Last two harvests have just been Fruit Spirit so I’ve not tried anything else in ages. Can’t wait to have a rip on something new.

Here we go then time to see how the Blue Mistic has done. Just started harvest and checking the buds I think she looks just perfect trichome wise. A couple of shots before the chop.

All finished with the RQS Blue Mistic and sat vaping on the scissor hash. Surprisingly good yield and really dense buds even lower down the plant. I got a beautiful fresh smell when I started trimming predominantly mint with a blueberry background. After trimming for a while my nose must have gotten use to it and all I could smell was a gas scent much like when trimming Fruit Spirit. Also moved a few plants around in the tent now there is extra space.
