Welcome to my first grow and grow journal!

I made the decision to attempt a grow about a month ago, ordered some seeds and grow equipment, read as much as I could and looked at a whole lot of pretty pictures. Here's what I got:

Tutankhamen Auto (4)
Seed Bank: Pyramid Seeds
Genetics: AK47 x Ruderalis
Type: 80% Sativa / 20% Indica
Flowering Time: 49-56 Days
THC: 22%
CBD: .4%

Amnesia Molotov (3)
Seed Bank: Kalashnikov Seeds
Genetics: Amnesia x Chem Dawg x Kubanskiy Ubiyza x Ruderalis
Type: 40% Sativa / 60% Indica
Flowering Time: 63-65 Days
THC: 24%
CBD:

Crystal Meth Auto (1)
Seed Bank: Fast Buds Seeds
Genetics: Mexican x Early Skunk x TrainWreck x Hawaii x Ruderalis
Type: Sativa
Flowering Time: 56-63 Days
THC: 20%
CBD: 1%

Northern Light Auto (1)
Seed Bank: Victory Seeds
Genetics: NL x Snowstorm x Ruderalis
Type: Indica
Flowering Time: 42-56 Days
THC: 21%
CBD: Medium (whatever that means)

Northern Light Blue Auto (1)
Seed Bank: Delicious Seeds
Genetics: Northern Light Auto x Blueberry Auto
Type: Indica
Flowering Time: 70-75 Days
THC: 18%
CBD: Medium

I built my grow area in the dead space above the rear stairs at my house - it measures 3' x 4.5' x 5' (67.5 cu. ft.) and is accessible with a set of fold down steps. I cut a 14"x6" (84 sq. in.) intake vent coming from inside the house and a 10"x10" (100 sq. in.) exhaust to the attic with an array of four computer fans pushing a total of 156 cfm. This fan setup replaces the air 2.3 times a minute with additional cool air coming in from a splice off an a/c duct (the 6" tube coming from the ceiling).

I'm growing in Roots Organic Original Potting Soil and have the Fox Farm trio for when it's time to add nutes.

April 1 - Seeds arrived and dropped into slightly warm water to soak overnight.
April 2 - All seeds germinated, transplanted to solo cups and set under the 4x4 T5 light.
April 4 - Two sprouts popped up, both Amnesia Molotov
April 5 - Eight Sprouts

shit, I'm high.

April 7 - Today, all ten sprouts

More to come!

Yesterday I phed my water to 5.9 and ordered a soil tester that'll be here tomorrow. All the girls look like they're doing well to me (I'm hoping the two runts catch up with the others). I haven't added any nutrients to any of them, yet. Does anyone see any potential problems coming up? I'm going to be transplanting these to 2 gallon smart pots for their final destination.

I put the 1000w hps that I have up in my grow area and the temperature when crazy high... not enough height or fans to pull that amount of heat out. I took it back down and decided to order 2 300W LED lights to hang instead - they should be here in two days. I noticed two tiny spots on one of my Amnesia plants. I'm not sure what it is - gonna keep an eye on it and compare it to the leaf deficiencies chart.

Day 12 - I transplanted all the girls from solo cups to 2 gallon fabric pots and fed them about 5 cups of water (5.9ph) each. I added 3 teaspoons of Big Bloom to each gallon of water. They seem to have perked up after the move and water... The two late sprouts are still runts but I'm gonna keep them for now.

I'm starting to think about topping and training them - I wanna start early but don't want to stress them. Two 300w LED lights show up tomorrow - I'm going to hang those and give the girls a day or two before I make a move.

Day 14 - Just pulled a couple of the girls quickly out to inspect and take a few photos. I'm planning on topping them if I feel confident enough. Most things I've heard suggest between the 3rd and 4th nodes... Anyone with experience reading this? Can you confirm?

Looks awesome! Im on my first grow as well and I started my plants around the same time. Its cool to compare the rate of growth!

Thanks!

I had two seeds slow to get started also - a Tutankhamen and Crystal Meth. They still haven't caught up. The CM also has a weird turned leaf, but seems to be healthy otherwise. Planning to do any training? I'm gonna follow your grow

Yeah definitely some lst and a scrog net. I want to FIM but I dont want to wait the extra couple weeks for recovery. Maybe I'll try it with one. Have you made up your mind on topping yet?

Yeah, I'm going to top a couple of them at least - I think I'm just about ready on a few of them. I picked up 33 feet of flexible tie from the dollar store for LST and don't know that I'll have the space for a scrog net - I think it'll be packed enough that I'll have a full canopy without that. We'll see.

From what I've read, topping an auto between the 3rd and 4th node will only stunt them for a a day or two if done right... Since they're autos they don't really have weeks to recover. I prolly won't top my runts - just LST as they get bigger.
