hey all, just started flush today, and found webbing on one of my plants, is there anything I can use that will be safe, gonna pull the plants start of feb. any help is appreciated
thanks man, these plants are just starting flush, and then I have 8 next to them that are a few weeks behind. I will use the soapy water, Iso will probably wash off resin???
lots of info here to answer, be careful what you spray this close to harvest, spraying mature buds can lead to mold, post close up pics ASAP I will help more when I see the buds and level of your infestation.
Here are some pics of the worst plants. There are a couple that look real bad, and some signs on the other plants, but let me know what you think. I bought some Safers Insecticide Soap, hoping that will do the trick
you can see the webbing in the first pic, that is what tipped me off that something was wrong, lol, guess I should have been paying attention. I would have thought they plants would have been in worse condition having mites.
does anybody have any more input on this.. I sprayed with the Safers Insecticide Soap,, gonna do it a couple of times. How carried away can I get this close to harvest??. This is a medicinal grow that has to be shut down at the end of March, so everything is in flower now and I dont want to lose this crop, because after this I have to start paying "the man" for meds. Should i be worried about these mites, or can I control it for the next 2 months?? The worst looking plants are the ones 2 weeks from harvest, there does not seem to be much damage to the ones that are 4 weeks behind, and the rest we just switched to 12/12 last week and they all look great. I have been doing some reading and i am looking for white spots on the leafs where they may have been eating, is there any other signs other than where they have been eating for early detection??
I have used Monterey Garden Insect Spray with Spinosad and Monterey All Natural 3 in 1 Garden Insect Spray to kill spider mites. I add 3-5 drops per gallon of Ivory Liquid Soap as a surfactant to help the spray stick to leaves and stems better. I spray every 3 days alternating the 2 Monterey products for 2 weeks to kill adults and larvae as they hatch. Sierra Natural Sciences also makes 2 products to kill spider mites SNS-217C Concentrate and SNS-209 Systemic Insect Control.
Well, I will just keep spraying every couple of days. I read this stuff breaks down in 7-10 days, so if I dry and cure hopefully there wont be any taste issues with these ones that are close to being done.
