Thinking of purchasing this system. It contains 32 12 liter pots. That should allow me to maximize my main grow-space. 32 clones in a sea of green system, max 2-3 weeks of vegg then flip to 12/12.

In a way it's a "hempy"

Will grow in perlite. The system has 32 drippers and a 200 liter reservoir. So it's a recirculating table based dripper system. Can also be used as a flood and drain system. It strongly resembles my first hydro setup which gave me phenomenal results. It's a well tested method and it will be amazing I believe.

Did not order yet. Am talking to several different shops and negotiating the prices. The main problem is the transport prices. Because of the size they're ridiculous

I wash any leaves I'll be freezing. I have a bin that I drop trim into sometimes, with the intention - yet unrealized - to make some dry shake hash from them.

I think of it as my cannabinoid compost heap. Lol!

Anything I freeze becomes edibles. Washing is a necessity, IMHO.

At 138 days from seed, 79 of them in bloom, she's ready. I'll flush tomorrow and harvest Wednesday or Thursday.

Thanks Grow. I love harvesting. I'd like to harvest every week, to be honest. If I ran the spaces at 12/12 or 11/13 lighting I might be able to make that happen, but it sounds a little crazy, to be more honest. I can't dry that much in my fridge.

I too still love to see any seed sprout, regardless of what plant it is. it was magic at 5 years old and still is just as amazing to me. Life springs forth from what seems inert to the eyes, so wonderful.

Low and slow drying is a new method that SweetSue has been testing. It's to preserve the cannabinoids, flavonoids, and terpenes that are generally lost during a typical dry and cure.

The buds are cut, washed and hung for four hours. They are then placed in jars, and placed in the fridge (for three months I believe?).

I'm sure SweetSue can link you to it, but I hope this helps in the meantime.

That was very close smokie. The cure takes upwards to three months total time invested. It took my last harvest a month to get dry enough in the fridge.

When you harvest, the first step is to reduce water levels to around 62%. Once you get there you begin the cure, that period of time when the plant's oils mature and grow more potent. This process can take up to three months, depending on how long you're willing to wait.

The intent in the cure is greater potency. In all likelihood what's happening is the THCa, which is a very unstable molecule, aggressively converts to THC, performing a natural decarb. Decarboxylation is a function of time and temperature. Given enough time the THca converts itself without heat.

It's assumed the other cannabinoids also go through a natural decarb state during the cure. Think of it like fine wine. A good cure improves everything about cannabis. In the beginning it's rare that a new grower gets to that three-month mark. Desperation usually rules the day. Lol!

I'm laying down, trying to fall asleep and this is what I'm thinking about. Apparently "I'm ready to have a good night sleep" actually means "think of the forums, go reply to SweetSue".

I understand the wine reference. I spent my college years drinking. But I guess what I'm lost on, is if the low and slow decarbs as well, why smoke it? Isn't the point of setting it ablaze to decarb it?
