Salutations honored bretheren :Rasta:

This will be my first full flower with Shaun Rauber's patented 24hr. grow system using Dog as an intermediary and Salmayo's writings. I am allowed to use Rauber's method, as is everyone, for medicinal use and in an area no greater than 3' x 3'. Let the fun begin.

Lights:
1 318w full spectrum LED from Cammie at HGL
5 15w 660nm spotlights invented by Cammie at HGL
9 13w Red Cfls
3 75w Blacklight BLB
2 24w t5's

Plants:
1 Hindu Skunk
2 Sourgrapes

Grow Medium:
FFOF with 15% Perlite, 15% Vermiculite added

Nutrients:
AN Organics: Iguana Grow/Bloom, Grangma Engy's H2 and F1, Liquid Carbo Load, Sensizyme, Organics B, Pirranha, Turantula and Voodoo juice. Botanicare Bloom Maximizer added between weeks 3-5.5 and then The Ripener is added till the end.
Foliar Sprays: Veg: Liquid Light with Penetrator Gold. Flower: Fulvic Acid

Co2: Yes Temp: 81F Hum: 35-40%

I will fill in the timing and martian stuff as we go on and on and on...:bongrip:

as of March 5. I started their flowering cylce witha four day typical 12/12 coundown. They started 12/12 on the 7th and once bud formations formed, the 11th, I turned on the 24hr PAD system.

Hello to all.

Havn't updated in a while but here's a quick catch-up...
When using this growing technique, Martian that is, there is three types of light, PAL (Full Spectrum LED Panel) and PAD (660nm +730nm). It seems once I ramped up the red cfl's (660nm)there was too much blue light contamination thus slowly revegged my flowers. I caught it on time and switched to the 12on, 12off style, losing about a week or two of time. I still use the Blacklight BLB's as a trigger for morning and evening. They look awsome and I just dropped them to 11on, 13off for a sweet ripening. They are huge, a meter or taller and I did some upper branch LST. So much sugar. Will snap some pics tonight ;)

One more week of nutes, then a flush and that's it fer em :slide:

Some thoughts on Salmayo...
Bp x Ba = FRp x FRa The power of Blue (425nm) multiplied by the absorbtion rate of Blue equals the power of Far Red (660nm-730nm) multiplied by the absorbtion rate of Far Red.

This is the equation for genetic spectrum equavilancy :roorrip:

Hi csudh, nice looking setup you've got here. Sorry I'm so late in finding your grow, but I'm subbed now.
Hope you can stay ahead of the mites. Interesting mix of lights. You might find just the right ratios to max out lighting efficiency. Good luck.

I just know I would screw up the lighting in a setup like yours.

Thanxs for checking things out here Mmmmick.

Got the mites taken care of and I shall begin the flush next week, me thinks.

The timing is pretty simple now, just 12on/12off with the blacklights on 45minutes in the morning and 45min at night. When the blacklights die I'll replace them with clear incandescents. You wouldn't have any problems, I'm sure.

heheh you might be right but I'd probably use a timer for the black lights. My personal sleep schedule is all over the clock so I would never trust myslef to be punctual enough.

What did you use to finish the mites? I hear hot shots are effective.

Everything is on timers so all we gatta do is deal with the other million thingies.

Hot shots, I'll check it out, thanxs.
I first used a mix from my buddy he calls monkey juice, kinda rough though, in veg. When they went into flower I used go-gnats for a few weeks and then switch to a product called SNS 217 till I finish. I can spray the buds with this stuff, It's good but it wont knock them out. Some a-hole brought these to Cali dispensaries and there nearly unkillable. The clone bussiness is coming to a halt out here.

I'm working on external and internal nano-probes for these brutes.

I think the Hot Shots are less disruptive to the plants and no worries about missing a spot when spraying, but this is not from personal experience. I've been lucky enough to avoid mites so far.
Shame about the dispensaries getting hit but at least you've got yours under control.

Oh me-oh my, I fear to poke myself in the eye :cheer:

Just took a sample of the sour grapes, quick nuke at 5o% fer 2osecs...
Tore up...
so hungry...very heady, can hardly sit up.
Definately start flush and chop em in two mondays.

Oh yeah, mites, hahaha.
Dern them.

It sounds to me like the red cfl's put your PAD timing off. They must of made your girls think they were getting around 13 hours of day light.. Great catch on the re-veg and going back to a 12/12 with a little black lights.. Nice move..

I do have a question.. Were did this come from.

Some thoughts on Salmayo...
Bp x Ba = FRp x FRa The power of Blue (425nm) multiplied by the absorption rate of Blue equals the power of Far Red (660nm-730nm) multiplied by the absorption rate of Far Red.

I need this explained in English....lol

Nice looking girls.. Hope those mites are gone..

Yo Dog, What up homie!

First I was ganna drop my PAL down an hour but when it was on, the girls went bananas for it (with the 660's running at the same time). I wanted the PAL on as long as possible because the best was occuring at that time so I went to the 12/12 based on that observation, also I knew I would have those #'s.

That's an equation Sal was talking about while working with the plant absorbtion curve you showed him on another forum. I guess to evaluate the correct blue vs. far red wattage, and surface saturation, he used this equation as an answer to that question. He did some triangulation as well, if I'm correct...
Blue has a lower absorbtion rate than Far Red, so it penetrates further and you need less wattage than red but red absorbs at a higher rate, so even if you have more power, it may not get there. That's why I arrange my lights the way I do, to deal with red's high absorbtion rate.
When equivilancy is achieved more stuff stacks in a smaller space...

What's going on. Glad to see your still running the PAD setup.

Sure I remember posting the absorption chart on the other forum.. But did you e-mail him to find out that equation. I've never see it..lol... sh#t I don't even understand it..

Now it's your turn to explain this (quantum equation absorption rate) to me...LOL

so even if you have more power

Let's start here... Do you mean more power of blue?

When equivilancy is achieved more stuff stacks in a smaller space...
Also do you mean light spacing... i.e. how far away your red is as compared to blue above your canopy? Is that how to achieve light saturation equivilancy?

More power of far red and where and how far it is placed. The underside of leaves absorb less than the top, so Sal suggests pointing a light (I assume far red) under your favorite bud. I bring the light at an angle to raise my saturation.
Genetic bandwidth, or spectrum, equivilancy, Sal mentioned this in the same thread, that crazy equation, when achieved, stacks more complex THC and other goodies within a smaller package, the bud. This is the answer to how much of 425nm, 660nm and 730nm should I use.
I would think that advanced Rauber gives one the highest level of equivilancy. After viewing Sal's triangulation, it looks like one needs only about a 30% increase in far reds. The trick is to get it there.

I think we just just put this site to sleep :slide:

Ok I see... Yes, the far red is what I'm having the most problems with during the PAD time.. So your answer makes sense... Thanks.. We already use 30% far red during a standard 12/12 flowering using clear inc's. It's the black light saturation and 660nm switch on and off that's giving us fits during the PAD time.. When Sal gets a PAD tread going I'll be able to see what he's doing and get a better handle on things..

I did see were he talked about pointing the light up.. Unfortunately that won't work in our current PAD garden..

You need to get some great PAD bud porn pics up here and wake this tread up....lol:thumb:

How did this grow turn out?

We would love to be updated with some pictures and info!

If you need any help with posting photos, please read the photo gallery tutorial:

Sending you lots of positive energy through the Universe.

Once upon a time I had the Rauber PAD guide. I am curious to review it again against my own findings. I realize you guys have not logged on in a long time so I am hoping (1) you get an email update and (2) one of you kept an old copy of that PAD guide.
