Thanks for the compliments Danner. Just doin what I think is right man.

For seedlings, in veg I start defoliation when they have developed 4-5 nodes. Prefer 5 but if large, I may do it at 4. Really the same for clones too, if they have developed well.

As for the supper cropping, it all depends on the size. I'm trying to spread them out to open up the middle and get secondaries to lead out. I want short-fat girls. 28" wide or more. At issue for me is my veg closet isnt wide enough to do it right, so I have to address some of this widening when they get into my tent to flip to flower. Depending on size, I may wait till stretch is over, or bend them at any time really. I will even bend them 3-4 weeks from finish if I need to get better penetration and lower the light. But that late, they usually need support as they often won't knuckle up. But the flowers will do fine.

That's it. No real issues. Had some ph def earlier from not calibrating often enough. But no biggie. All good now. Though the girls did notice, they are fine now.

Guesstimate, harvest day around the 20th. LOTS of weight gain to be had still.

I had something similar going on with my northern light I had going. At around the same time too. Almost like a bud trying to grow on top of an already grown bud. Tough to explain and have no idea what causes it or if its bad or what but mine stayed like that up to harvest almost.

I think it's fox tailing isn't it? I don't think it causes any issues as such, just makes the buds a bit fluffier. I've heard it's genetic and is the plant throwing out new flowers desperately, just trying to reproduce

Thanks for the quick response Bass! I've got a couple new girls in the dirt now, about 2-weeks old and I plan on going all in on the defoliation this time around. I appreciate the help and keep up the excellent work!

Ok kinda interesting item today.

Later in flower, when trichomes are ever present, and defoliating, we tend to get our fingers covered in trichs. All kinds a sticky! I mean like glue. Ya just can't touch anything.

So today I was in the tent removing same fan leaves from the two Master Kush and rotating the girls a bit. When done, hands full of glue, and a few pcs of leaf. I recalled somewhere someone said to try butter on my fingers. So I went downstairs, grabbed a tiny slice of butter, and rubbed it all over my sticky fingers. As it melted my fingers seemed to be getting slick and smooth. I rinsed and lightly washed the butter off with some soap and water, and my fingers are smooth as silk! No stickiness nor pot smell on them whatsoever!

It works!

Girls are looking good. Needed some thinning. Master kush is certainly going to have the fatter heavier nuggets I think. They still have a long ways to go till calyxs grow and swell. While the Martian kush have lots of clayxs, they don't have the orange hair like master kush does. Interesting difference, beyond the insane stretch amount of the Martians.

More interesting and pretty fantastic news too.

Some may recall, Inkdot spoke about a drink that's from India called Bhang. It's a cannabis drink with a few different varieties, but basically a hot milk or tea type or iced tea type of drink.

The one I decided to try out on mom with her dementia and Alzheimer's is a cannabis infused milk drink.

The first batch was made with heavy cream, milk to thin it, drawn butter (ghee), and flavored with cinnamon, nutmeg, touch of ginger, 100% maple syrup to sweeten.

I used trim from last harvest that was in the freezer, that included tiny larf bud, and mostly sugar leaves. Inkdot says you can use all fan leaves, even without trich on them too. So my mix was a bit strong in the thc dept to say the least.

Initially I gave her about 3 oz of this warm milk drink, and it had her wasted for a good 10 hrs. And I do mean wasted. It was way to strong. But, I did notice her "aliveness" was much more apparent. Even through all her slurring she was more aware and alive.

So I thinned the mix about 50%. Gave some to a friend and he's a regular high quality smoker. And he said it got him nicely stoned for about 4 hrs. Over the next week, I've given mom 3 doses. Not more than about 3 oz, reheated.

Today, when I got home from work, (she hasnt had any for 2 days), she was running off at the mouth with clarity! I couldn't hardly get her to shut up! I mean it was great to see her so alive, and able to make sense! There was some obvious dementia, but not like usual. We had some real conversation. and she wasn't repeating herself every 3 minutes with the same dribble. Before this treatment, she might ask me where we were (meaning town/city). I'd tell her, then she'd ask how long she'd been here. I'd tell her 6 yrs and she wouldnt believe it and would ask where she lived. Of course I'd tell her right here, and point to her bedroom. Five minutes later, the same conversation would ensue. That's Alzheimer's. It's a MF'er to watch someone go through.

But not today. She was damn skippy in fact! I wish I'd known about all this 5 yrs ago. I am really starting to believe this is a good treatment. It sure as hell aint a placebo.

I'm cooking up another batch today. A big ass batch. I think I went overboard on strength again. So I'll probably have to thin it some more. But hopefully it's a two week or so batch. My sister in law's mother is just now starting to show early signs as well, so I'm giving her a bunch of this drink to treat her. If she shows the same signs of improvement you won't be able to find a more outspoken proponent for the treatment of dementia & Alzheimer's.

Update:

Day 47 in Flower

ruhro, she's leaning over already! Ya, the weight of the buds on Master Kush #1 (the shortest) is pulling her branches down and away from the light. So I added a strand of string to prop them up nicely. Her nugs are getting nice and dense. Color is good, though hard to tell with the hps on and my lack of camera skills.

The other Master Kush is looking great as well. Just bigger. Her colas are strong and dense.

The Martian Kush's are just weird. They stretch soooo damn much. Then the foxtailing. And it takes a while to fatten, I can tell. Being in the back of the tent makes it so damn hard to make adjustments to the girls too. And some of the branches were bent a few times and now are so damn hard I can't bend them further to lower them from the hps and open the middle. I don't know for sure, but I kinda doubt I'll grow this strain again as it just doesnt fit my area/style well.

I think I mentioned I have a small 8 plant clone grow in 2L hempy's as a filler between this grow and the Kosher Kush in early veg now. Those 8 are 6x Martian Kush & 2 x Master Kush. All are clones from this tent grow and the Martian Kush is again way taller. Even though I hit them with defoliation to slow them down. They are under 685watts of LED though and doing fine since they were put into flower shorter. But no topping or anything either. Also no veg defoliation, so they are lanky and much less side branching. I hope to get 3-4 oz from those but won't count on it.

I think I've found the niche feed point for the Master Kush in full bloom. 1030 ppm or 2.06 e.c. (.500 conv). If I feed to that amount, it looks like I won't have to add nutrient for 2.5-3 days. Which is nearly perfect. I'm looking for a 60ppm drop in 3 days.

Speaking of the Kosher Kush in early veg, they are only about 4" tall and about 3rd or 4th node to some shortly. I'm just waiting a bit till I see the 4th-5th node going then I'll be main-line topping. I don't know yet how many I will give it. But expect probably 5 toppings in this manner, with defoliation as well. Planning atm on flowering only 3 in my old 4x4 tent with the 4th kept as a mother. I might even be able to go back to my Grow Stealth 685watt LED if I get the spacing right for area coverage in that grow. That would be a small boon.

I bought all my pvc fittings yesterday for setting up a new 3 plant rdwc for the Kosher Kush grow. I still need to order more uniseals and get the buckets, and a chiller. Chiller is going to be the most expensive part, but I think I may have found one for about $350 or so delivered. Then I'll only have to get exhaust fan and carbon filter and a couple small fans. So I probably have to lay out at least $600 before it's all said and done.

Gave almost 1 quart of the Bhang batch to my newphew to treat his grandma who's showing early signs of Alzheimer's just like my mom did. He and his GF are recreational smokers so I told them to try just 3 oz of the drink. Last nite only his GF drank it since he is a pussy and can't handle the taste. She said she was higher in 1 hour than when she had brownies that they claimed got them the most stoned they had ever been. And she got higher after that. So I guess I made it too strong! I told them to cut it in half and give gramma just 2oz. I'm going to do the same with mom. I gotta work on the flavor too. Had too much nutmeg in the last batch.
