Lol I almost joked about you eating itYeah hazmat, tried it, if you can imagine chewing on some wet burnt hay, then that’s what it tasted likeI’m just kidding, I think it’s cos I didn’t know what I was really doing and I tried a very small bud, just tasted twiggy I guess, but yeah the other bit tasted really nice, kind of sweet and fruity, but not too strong if you get me, really nice

Damn, I didn’t even think of eating itLol I almost joked about you eating ityou know.....since it's decarbed lol like a fresh edible.
But I'll take a pic and everything next time I do a tester....should be a day or two as I just harvested earlier this week.....so I'll be wanting a tester.
excellent trichome production! it's hard to tell at this magnification level and lighting (purple), but any amber you are seeing on the sugar leaves doesn't appear to also be showing on the buds. focus more on the calyxes in the buds. at this magnification, bud trichomes are looking clear and milky – that's about all I can say.
Thanks cbdhemp, I have one of those Carson microbrites, I got one when you mentioned it, can’t get pics with it thou can ya, these are the best I could getexcellent trichome production! it's hard to tell at this magnification level and lighting (purple), but any amber you are seeing on the sugar leaves doesn't appear to also be showing on the buds. focus more on the calyxes in the buds. at this magnification, bud trichomes are looking clear and milky – that's about all I can say.
I use a Carson MicroBrite Plus mini hand-held microscope, $15... you'll get a nice detailed view of the trichomes.
Iv just read something and now I’m confused, yeah I know, that’s not hard to do is itThanks cbdhemp, I have one of those Carson microbrites, I got one when you mentioned it, can’t get pics with it thou can ya, these are the best I could getThere’s definitely amber over them, some buds have a lot more than others, what I’m worried about is going too far with it, iv read that the thc starts deteriorating if left too long in flower, and these are the part of the flower you say to keep an eye on yeah ? And thanks for your help

Yes....let’s say 50% of the trichomes amber. Does that mean that half of the amount are amber and half are clear or cloudy
Thank you cbdhemp, I’m with it now, I read something that completely through me, and yeah I will be checking at lights in today to see where I am, thank you again for your help, very much appreciatedI would rely on the Carson to give you a good idea of the trichomes... clear, milky, amber.
Yes.
Trichomes start out clear, then the clear fades into milky and becomes solid milky. You will see some that are clear, some that are turning milky, and some that are completely milky – all at once. Sprinkled among them will be some that are amber. Eventually more and more become amber.
Whenever I see an amber trichome, it is completely amber (not part milky).

hi cbdhemp, I checked with the Carson today, all different buds, I see a fair amount of amber, tried to get some pics with the wi-fi digital microscope, thought they was decent but when I looked they wasn’t as good as what I thoughtI would rely on the Carson to give you a good idea of the trichomes... clear, milky, amber.

I just harvested a CBG plant and I saw what looked like clear turning into amber! Photos here.Whenever I see an amber trichome, it is completely amber (not part milky).
I would typically harvest at this point or even earlier – you have lots of amber on most of those shots. Some other folks would wait for more amber. In my situation I get a lot of mold and need to anticipate bud rot, so I often harvest early.Hi
