Hello everyone ,I just started my first grow it's almost 47 days from seeds I started on 01/Feb/2017, 12 blueberry and 2 unknown strains (local strain) .I am using normal mix which is soil(local type),perlite ,earthworm casting and vermiculite and for the nuts I am using Ionic Formulex and CalMag, I started feed in week 3 because showing of nute deficiency and before week I tested the runoff of the soil and PH is high 7.4 I tried to flush many time and the runoff alaways 7.3-7.5 today I tested the local soil that I used in my mix and the problem of high PH from it I bought another local soil and tested the runoff today and the PH is 8 :jawdropper:
so I searched too much for any known soil that work with cannabis and I find Only Miracle Grow and there are many type of it so which one should I choice as a base with the perlite and vermiculite and the earth worm casting ?

Thanks guys for replying but where I live here this is the best choice and the water I give them I always Ph it between 6-7 tap water but the runoff in the first soil was 7.3-7.6 the second it too high around 8
So I think miracle grow only the the best choice I have now so which on of them should I get?

Volcano, look at me my friend. 5 months ago, I was like you. Minus the fact that my seeds did come from a bank, but it is not known from which one.

Excited and nervous, I was reading about soil growing medium for several days, only to chose miracle grow with slow notrogen release in the end with combination of the peat based Coast of Maine soil, with a ratio of 60 coast and 40 MG.
I'm telling you, these damn little yellow balls are very, very frustrating. Mainly because if it causes nutes disorder, you're COMPLETELY hopeless.
Flushing will not save you.

Veg was fine. I tuned my nutes and never fed in 100% strength. They grew and flourished.

In flowering, week 5-6, Ngn toxicity hit me. At least 4-5 leafs had claws and yellowing, and it got worse. It didn't make sense because I knew I had the nutes intake amount under a full control.
Yield and bud density were hurt.

Never buy miracle grow. Please...
Not if you want good results and you have respect to the plants. You must ALWAYS know how much nutes your girls get. That's how you can effectively diagnose problems; you know the elements involved, and can backtrack to see what went wrong.
Hope you will make a good decision.

Best of luck and love :)

Are you checking PH after adding the chemicals?

and the water I give them I always Ph it between 6-7 tap water

Between 6 and 7 is kind of a wide range, try right at 6 or 5.8-6.1 for a range (no idea what you testing with, some ways are a "ballpark" reading to say the least), and that should drop it down some. But I don't worry about what the PH is coming out personally (and I'm not sure how accurate what water comes out at is related to actual soil PH or if the plant even cares for that matter) and I haven't had any issues or haven't yet anyway related to PH, all my problems have been too much feeding for the most part or all the temperature issues I had with them being outside in shed inside my boxes.
The miracle grow with the time released nutrients will give you nothing but grief as folks are saying, as you have no control over when they release and whether the plant wants that when they do.

What method are you using for measuring your PH?...pen, strips, powders?...are your nutes water soluble, and if so, do you test PH of your feed solution?...have you tested the PH of the soil, rather than runoff?...natural soil PH levels can be lowered using organic methods...pine needles, compost etc...sulfur/aluminum sulfate...just for chits and giggles...put up a couple of your girlz...a visual may help diagnosis...cheerz...h00k...:hookah:

Thanks guys for helping, I have the Eco PH pen and I tested the first runoff as I explained the prorblem is there is no hydro stores here I get these stuff from hardware shop and there is no ,uch choices as I said I wish if I can get fox farm or anything good I even test the PPM from the runoff and it's quite high without adding any nuts is show 260-300 PPM and the PH is 7.4 I bought another local soil and test it by pot it in small pot and test the first runoff and show me 1000+ PPM and PH of 8 so I think MG well be better than the local one that I am using now or what's your opinion guys? advice me please.

Notice :I started see deficiency in the the week 2 and start feeding by Ionic Formulex and still show Calcium deficiency so I started feed with CalMag also (I feed weekly) and it start to become green and healthy again but still show some deficiency and last 2 week I added full strength some of them show little burn some okay and look helthy but they grow very slow I will add later some picther

You can buy BioBizz soil on Amazon... or many other online retailers. Great stuff. AMAZING quality. Using Miracle Grow will prove MORE problematic than what you are dealing with now. I don't know how many people have to tell you 'don't do it' before you understand we are just trying to help but... seriously dude... step away from the Miracle Grow. There are other options.

I would look for a True Value near by. You can order Fox Farm and a bunch of hydroponic stuff and they deliver in store for free within 3 to 5 business days. I bought a bag of FF Happy Frog and my babies are very happy.

Hello guys

today they were a little thirsty I watered them by tap water with 6.1 PH (usually I water them between 6.5-7 PH) and I tried today to add some peat moss my mix I did it in small pot 70% my mix (Which are local soil it's similar to MG and Perlite and vermiculite and earth worm casting ) and the rest 30% Peat moss and I found that the PH in the runoff change from 7.4 to 6.4 so what you think about if I just add peat moss to my mix and that will make the PH at least in the right range .

Notice:I can't order online I don't live in US or Canada so the only I can find here is MG and local soil which I use now I think they are the same .
