I will be starting a grow journal 2 weeks into my grow. This is my very first grow and I think I'm already hitting major problems, which I think have derived from poor lighting at the outset which in turn has created two leggy, albeit healthy plants.
I am using Coco Coir mixed with 30% perlite, Ph water at 6.4.

In my space bucket I have 1 x intake fan and 1 x exhaust, light is a 125 W 6500 Lum CFL bulb.

In the grow box I have 1 x intake fan and 1 x exhaust fan, lighting I have 1 x 125 W 5500 Lum CFL, and 2 x 23 W white LED's (3300 lum)
Total Lum - 8800

For Nutes I will be using Tomorite tomato feed.

A little bit about me, I am an Ex Army Veteran suffering with PTSD due to deployments overseas. I haven't touched cannabis in about 15 years but I have learnt through research and word of mouth that it could really help my condition. The doctor has me on all kinds of pills to deal with my issues, but I think it's doing me more harm than good, so I'm ready to give the 'Magic Plant' a go.

I am an open book and ready to absorb your expertise, experience and advice like a sponge.

Thanks guys !!!!

Get your lights about six inches away from the tops. Put your hand between the light and plant to see if it is hot. You will know quickly if it is too hot.Adjust it accordingly after that.
I too am new but learned this early on.
Thanks for serving. Good luck with your grow.

Besides the long stem and the ph I don't see any other issues. When transplanting or up potting you can always bury some of that stem so that should help in the long run. Would be good to have a fan blow over it from time to time to help thicken the stems

For coco and from my little knowledge you should be feeding at a ph of 5.5 bud. How far away is your light from the plant?

Ahh really ? Bugger!
To be honest, the set up you see in the pics is since I upgraded the box last night adding the LED lights and the big CFL, prior to yesterday I was just growing both seedlings in the box (so nothing in the space bucket) under one little CFL spiral each.

I moved one seedling in into the bucket and raised it up so it sits about 8 inches from the light.

In the box the LED's are about 6 inches away and the 125w CFL is about 7-8 inches away.

I think due to the poor lighting initially it caused the seedlings to get really leggy looking for light, shall I bend it over (LST) ? Or leave it as tall as it is?.

Your input, no matter how much experience you have is massively appreciated mate!!

Hey Justin !
Thanks for your advice mate, I will try to reposition the intake fans to blow into the stems.
Regarding transplanting, I've heard that you shouldn't do this with Auto's ? This is why It went straight into its final pot. Or do you reckon it's worth it due to them being so leggy ?
Also, these plants are two weeks old, are they massively behind schedule ?

Dont transplant autos bro!! Start them off in the deepest pot you can. They grow a tap root which determine size of plant. But on the other hand i have seen some serious plants in solo cups. So i dont know.

I got 6 autos given to me in seedling trays that where long and thin. Mannaged to transplant them. One is vry far behind and small. Others booming but might have been better with seed straight in the pot.

Awesome, cheers for the info bro, I'm glad most of yours worked out, I have also seen some transplanted autos which have turned out ok, but I don't really want to take the risk.

Hey dude, thanks for the advice !! I think I'll be moving the plants closer to the lights, but making sure it's not hot.

Awesome plant porn mate !
Yes it is. Accidental plant porn!! Thats what happens when your bro plants way to many seeds and says . Oh shit. No space. Here you go!!??
Ill grow bro.
