bark problems

I am new here so hello everyone.last night some mice were eating the bark around my flowering plants.Any tips on what i should do,i am in panic mode here

Tape up the bark or tie something around it, and place some mice traps An old school plate and nut, something that catches mice there. Don't use poison!

Rub cayenne on the bark, won't hurt it and they won't chew on it after that!

U have to be careful with tape, if humidity is high u can get mold in there. How bad is the damage? Just a little gnawing or big chunk? I wonder if there is a sap like paste u can make with cayenne in it to cover damage? Probably find it on here or on youtube.

i have wrapped the stocks in hemp string and they seem to be doing just fine right now,hairs are all still mostly white so the buds don't seem to be dieing off,not sure if i should remove the string after a week or so or just leave it on.i take them in at night so the moistsure doesn't get to it...ty for answering me...cheers
