Beginning Grower Mystery Haze! 2018

I also made a bigger base for the pot to sit on so airflow and drainage could be better

What are the temps at the tops of your plants? What are your humidity reading under the light ? What kind of organic soil ? How much fertilizer? What you exactly are you using for a light ? How far away ?

I don’t have a temp gauge, I used 1 teaspoon in almost a pint of water during my regular watering. I’m using a lamp, and a 1300 lumen flood light. About 2 1/2 feet away

Your plants are showing stress and/or dificiencies. Unfortunately so far you aren’t in control of either environment or soil. If the temps and humidity aren’t within ranges you will have bad problems. If your light spectrum is not sufficient the plant will show problem. Those light are not designed for growing to my knowledge and are only hitting one spectrum and it’s not the right ones. Might be wrong but that’s why I use the lighting I do. There is a lot going on here I am sorry to say.

Yea maybe your right, but I kno one thing. Every grower never started out as perfecting everything first try. This is my first and I’m willing to work on it and learn everything I need to in order to be better over time, Don’t be sorry

No I agree. But there are basics that have to be adhered to to be successful and not waste your time and money. Of course learning as you go has value. I tried to keep it super simple my first few grows. So I’ve only been growing a few years and I am for the first time looking s PH adjusting my water, using PPM to get proper ratios, wireless air conditioning, temp and humidity. Lighting is first, then environment. Even the PH of the water and fertilizer may not be helping your soil problems.

I find that your environment is built around the light, the amount of heat it puts off and if using closed or open vent systems with or eithous CO2. It can get overwhelming fast but you will be much happier with everything by gaining control.

I agree. Is there a handbook I can read about materials I would need for the lighting and environment? Because maybe this one won’t get to it’s full potential because I’m not doing everything exact but I need to learn. Precision is what gets the husky frosty nugs right?

Yes but on this route I fear you won’t be successful at all. You can’t start where you want to end up fo sure.
With the info and friends on this site and some time to search and read all the answers are here. I will share anything I know all you have to do is ask. I was also hoping our banter would stir up some of the more talented growers. Start with light if I were you. I’m not great with spectrums but here’s a start.
Seed starting and early veg I use 3500k and full spectrum T5 bulbs. For me I use 4ft 4 bulb.
After the canopy Thickens due to poor penetration from T 5 lighting and close distance to canopy (only a few inches) to keep model spacing tight.
I move to metal halide. This is still good for the vegetative light spectrums. I use 600w MH and use that for the rest of veg. When I’m ready to flip light schedule to force flower based on the size of the plant as my determination for when to flip.
Flower time 1000w HPS. This spectrum is more orange and simulates the end of a season light spectrum that covers the needs of flowering.
LED makes many options that have proper spectrums I just personally feel the technology is still developing.

Just An update on the baby flower, I kind of have given up on it but I’m still watering regular and giving regular light and by Monday I’ll be giving it more fish nutes
