Border Patrol Agents Seize More Than 250 lbs. Of Pot, Catch 5 Suspected Smugglers

U.S. Border Patrol agents in Yuma seized more than 250 pounds of marijuana and arrested five suspected smugglers, officials announced Monday

Border Patrol agents noticed several people south of I-8 last Thursday, November 11th. Agents reportedly followed footprints and found five large backpacks, authorities said. Agents continued to follow the footprints when they found the five suspects, officials said.

The marijuana had an estimated street value of more than $200,000.
