BUBBLEGROWER!!!
I am so happy to see that you are alive an kickin,
Glad to see you have been productive, just probably 4x busier than usual, lol
and that sucks about your laptop, but you got it figured out!
Well im excited to see final weigh in, that cola is HUGE!! i can litterly only imagine the stink that you are experiencing this morning lol
well get them pics comin, for real i thought you dipped on the whole thing, or got in trouble or something honestly but that cool you are not man.

HEY BUD!! whew, yeah it's been a pretty weird couple days to say the least, but all is well. just finished trimming her up and now im on break (what better way to break-in the new puter.... sticky fingers) .... then weighing, and uploading pics....... the never-ending day. :smokin:

I just collect all the jam jars i use wash out, stack em on a shelf and until now just bought the oz's and filled em. Now I'm growin, I should be able to stock em myself....! :D Another week I'll update as well....Ive got a female!:goodjob::peacetwo::cheer::roorrip::grinjoint:

Isnt it so exciting to grow dope!?!!

Then the crop comes in, BIG SMILES!!!

haha!! so glad to hear you have found enjoyment in it!! yuppers, it's a pretty amazing thing!! welcome!! :peacetwo:

:popcorn:Barring the slight technical and laptop issues, glad everything went well. Cant wait to see those pix and vid. :rollit:
HIYA!! should have them up here in a bit.... no offense to 420 (i understand their reasoning) but the damn uploading crap takes forever and i hate it..... but i LOVE seeing those pics all blown up :)

Nice Harvest! The buds look tasteeee. And leaving that nice long stem will make for a nice slow dry - should be very pleasing.

Can't wait to see some vid. And of course - the numbers on the yield.

Shame 'bout the puter. Cool you got a new one. And, yes - shouldn't be too tough to get your stuff off the old.

:peacetwo::Rasta:

yup, i leave em' REAL long :) half out of just pure laziness and half out of just really not being in a hurry that often to get it dried.... usually its just the opposite.... want it to take as LOOOONNNNNGGGG as possible :)

glad to hear your alright bubble grower some fine looking buds:welldone::roorrip:peace
thank you very very much sir..... welcome to the journal!!!

Hello,
my first post here..

Bubble,, that is an awe-inspiring plant... very nice. Glad to see you are ok as well.

About the laptop,,, notebooks use 3.5 inch drives, and it is usually a prett simple job to remove it. It will usually be in a a side pocket or in a pocket on the underside of the laptop. open the compartment (usually 1 or 2 screws) and the hard drive will slide out...

goto a site like newegg.com and look for external hard drive enclosures and get one for a 2.5 inch drive. put the old notebook drive in it and plug you new external hard drive into a usb port on your new laptop, and you should be bale to access everything.

I'm an IT guy during the day.

Anyways, been reading alot on here, everyone seems so friendly, and I have already learned a ton. I had been paranoid about posting or starting a journal, but I had to chip in to help you with the broken laptop.

:passitleft:

hello sir :) thanks so much!! you have been that same "breath of fresh air" around here for me as well. coming from another site to this one i was sketchy at first...... but you were there to greet me before my foot even got in the door and your "face" has popped up on damn near every thread i have surfed in the last couple weeks..... and thats a CRAPLOAD of threads :) keep up the GREAT work..... hope you have a super happy day weed.

Re: bubblegrower IS GONNA HARVEST A 6 FOOTER ON 4-20-2010 -- TONS OF PICS!

THE FINAL WEIGHT IS IN!!

174 grams.

i'll convert :) .......... 6 1/4 ounces (minus one lil baby nug) :cheer:

to be honest, i was wrong with my guess..... there really wasn't much leaf matter at all in A LOT of the buds, and i figured the very high calyx/leaf ratio would make her pretty lightweight but GREAT to smoke.

i had her pegged at 5oz........ so i didnt do so good :)

but thanks to all of you that voted!!!

and for the 13 of you that voted "6-7 ounces" i say:

:goodjob::Rasta::grinjoint::cheer::thanks::tommy::theband::rocker::woohoo::bigtoke::passitleft::headbanger::clap::clap::clap:

i'll be uploading pics today.... yeah yeah... you heard that last night :)
.......... i'll get em' today. was a LONG day yesterday.
:goodjob: to me!! :) finally, i can say that. it's not over until she's dried and in the jars, and in the patients hands....... it's over.... whew :)

Re: bubblegrower IS GONNA HARVEST A 6 FOOTER ON 4-20-2010 -- TONS OF PICS!

i have grown quite a few plants, so it's sad to say, but some just plain get forgotten about. this one gave me a memory that i will never forget. scary, but funny as hell too. i was moving her from the flower room to a "dark room" that i have set up for final flush and it was a pain. haha... understatement there. at almost 6ft tall and having buds like that she was top-heavy for sure. so i tied her all up nice and good (didnt wanna break any branches moving through doorways either) and steadied her for the move. i stood back for a second to catch my breath before sliding the tote across the floor and i thought "wow, it looks just like the christmas trees my parents used to bring home in my childhood years"...... all tied up like it just came from the "tree store". so i grabbed my camera real quick to snap a pic. as i returned to the room, camera in hand, i watched her SLLLLLOOOOOOOOWWWWLLLY falling over. there was nothing i could do about it. i was too far away, and there was too much stuff in the way. my heart skipped. seriously. and then she fell into the fan and hung there until i arrived on scene to assist. after my heart rate normalized i snapped this....

yup, whoever said "a picture is worth a thousand words" was right..... or at least this pic is worth a thousand to me...............

oh, and I goofed on the drive.. I put both 2.5 and 3.5,, hehe,, notbooks use 2.5 inch drives.. sorry. (desktops use the 3.5 inch drives) and I call myself a geek all the time, so no offense taken..lol

Re: bubblegrower IS GONNA HARVEST A 6 FOOTER ON 4-20-2010 -- TONS OF PICS!

BOOM..... there went my computer. all of my personal pics had been loaded onto it, and im sure i will get them back, just gonna have to find someone to to it because i have no clue how.... and the screen is shattered.

If it's just the screen half of the laptop, plug in any monitor and go.

Otherwise, just pull the hard drive (usually as easy as falling down a set of steps and far less painful) and either stick it into another computer or get an external case from Tiger Direct or somewhere. Or if you don't want to turn it into an external drive but just want to harvest the data from it those kinds of places also sell cable kits that do the same thing as an external enclosure. Cost you $15-$30 though so you might as well just make it an external.

well hello sir, first off, MUCHO CONGRATULATIONS!! on your taking of the "Member of the Month" title..... much deserved. :goodjob::goodjob:

thanks for the help. yeah, im not much of a computer guy. at least when it comes to internal components. anyways, i should probably have a few minutes to tinker with it today........... i'm sure it can't be that difficult, and if it is, my brother the ubertechdork can walk me through it over the phone :grinjoint:

it got crushed pretty good. definitely won't power-up so i will be tearing it the rest of the way apart.

(I'm not mad about it or anything, but) it makes me feel like an old fart when people call me "sir" and they don't even owe me money, lol.

Just wanted to mention that the title is from quite a while ago (couple months after I joined?).

Glad you got a better harvest than you anticipated. That's the kind of surprise that everyone likes.

Good luck on your laptop - or from the sound of things, the laptop's hard drive anyway.
