Taste test #2!

Looks great Chankylanky. I'm going to harvest mine starting on Wed so will go 5-6 days longer. Followed your example and pinched off a small low bud, trimmed her, quick dry microwave method (thanks for the suggestion), and gave her a try. Houston, we have a winner!

Renshi, your post makes me very happy!!! . Now the hard part is not over do the "testing." .

Super loose and fluffy.
You grew that plant with just 70 watts of LED light right? That's amazing! I'm using over twice that and would really like to have at least another 25 watts and could easily add another 75. I'm thinking that to get those champion buds there's no substitute for a photon monster.

Hoping it doesn't rot. .

Argh! Don't let that happen now! Are you keeping in a bag because of the smell? Time to jar it up, no?

So last night was harvest night. Seven plants taken down. Got concerned bc I questioned whether some of these plants were males - even though they were sold as all females. Maybe they are just buds. Take a look. In any case, next photo is what I call trash, trim & treasure. Then the buds and drying trays.

So now it's the curing process, no? When a friend showed me his harvested buds (they were Dwarf Low Flyer!) in jars a few years ago and started talking about what he was doing, I didn't understand--it seemed like, "You've harvested. You're done, right?" But after trying a nasty microwave-dried sample the other night and reading about people "jarring" their buds for months, even using a $25 "Caliber IV Digital Humidity Meter," to get the humidity to 62%, I'm realizing I have some learning to do. I have been experimenting/learning with trim leaves in jam jars. It seems like the trick is to get the chlorophyll and "grassy" components to break down, morphing into something milder/sweeter? I'll bet there is some interesting chemistry going on there...

In any case, those buds are looking good! Good luck with the finishing touches.
