IM a little late eh, Anyways i'll start a weekly journal. the plant is growing nice, we had transplating problems but it looks as though were over it. I am using a cheap ass white overhead spotlight with a 26W CFL lightbut . the pedals are down and the wavy leaves are starting to grow out really nice, I also have a little sprout proppin' up, its 2 days old (4 now) its orta sideways (not anymore) it looks like yellow veins are in the leaves. shite maybe its cool (I noticed the yllow is stating to go down already)

I will put better pictures up tonight, show you how my set up is as we speak. I am open to all kinds of advice, and i can take harsh critisism :p I know i got a horrible grow set up going but, it will advance as I advance.

:) I'll put evn new pics up in about 3 days when tis 2 weeks old

oh shite.... you kidding? damn. i added it to both.
Jobes Plant Food Spikes 13-4-5
Total Nitrogen (N) .......13%
2% Nitrate Nitrogen
2%Urea Nitrogen
2% Other Water Soluble Nitrogen
7% Water Insoluble Nitrogen
Available Phosphoric Acid (P2O5).........4%
Soluble Potash (K2O).......5%
Derived from Ureaformaldehyde Nitrogen, Triple Superphosphate and Potassium Nitrate

I thought it woulda been good for em :/ i hope nothin bad happens.
Worst case scenerio what should I be looking for?

Re: First time Grower, 2 plants - CFL indoor

i do not believe Jobes Plant Food Spikes are meant for consumable crops. when you begin to add other nutrients they may react adversely with them. i would separate the two plants into separate pots, two plants in one pots is asking for trouble. you will give each half the amount of space for root growth and one will become dominant and overshadow the other.

Re: First time Grower, 2 plants - CFL indoor

So far the plants dont look like there burning or dying or nothing. in fact the big plant is starting to form the leaf. like the 5 leaves that make up the one big leaf. and they are seperated. they have been for like. 3 days i think i had the little one in a home made jug for about a day, day and a half. and I then put it into a actual clay pot. but its a tiny pot so i think im gonna have to transplant it soon.
I have pictures on my phone of what my grow spot actually looks like and the plants and stuff but i cant get them uploaded cause my phones being funny. so those pictures are like day 8. Im still trying to get pictures up now of what it looks like to keep you guys posted but my phones not helping >.>

If the root comes out of the drainage hole what does that mean :/ it happened before. like a week ago and i still cant stop thinking about that.

I hope the nutrians help the plants and not hurt them. there not to big percentages so it cant be too much? I just thought cause i know you have to add nutrians and stuff and thought that would help

Re: First time Grower, 2 plants - CFL indoor

okay sweet. cause it happened to my big plant and i didnt mean to break it off. I ment to just push it back up in the dirt so it could grow more. but i mean the big plant is looking beautiful. but the leaves seem to be curled up. like the sides of the leaves. are curled up some.

and I dont know about vegetation and flowering. I know flowering needs 12/12 and veg needs 18/6. but i dont know when i should start veg/flowering, and i dont know which one you do first. do you flower your plants first. or veg them first? please answer lol. The two plants has a 5 day difference between them.

Re: First time Grower, 2 plants - CFL indoor

ok. makes sence to go like 18/6 and work down to 12/12 but i wasnt sure. when should i start the vegetation cycle? anytime soon or just leave it as is. i always keep it on 24/0 but sometimes i will give it like 3-4 hours off. but not all the time. how do you know when to vegetate. i probably shouldnt with the little plant as it is. and i know KingJohnC and many many other users has helped me already so much. i honestly didnt think i'd get so much help and advice from a weed forums :p but im so glad i joined. i dont feel like my plants would be as good as they are without everyones help.

Re: First time Grower, 2 plants - CFL indoor

keep a cannabis plant in vegetative growth by keeping it in a 18/6 lighting schedule 18 hours on and 6 hours off. this lighting shcedule give the plant the best schedule for root growth. when we flower a cannabis plant we adjust the lighting schedule to 12/12 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness. to flower you need an area where you can give your plants total darkness for 12 hours per day. how long you keep your plants in vegetative growth depends on how much height and width you have for them. the more light you provide your plants the larger they will grow. when people use Compact Florescent Light bulbs they use multiple light bulbs to provide enough lumens over the size of the plants. people commonly use socket Y spliters and multiple compact Florescent Light bulbs. if you have 6' or more of height i would keep your plants in vegetative growth until they are 1.5'-1.8' tall for a good yield. a cannabis plant will stretch 2x-3x on average or more in height as it flowers. i notice the leaves on your larger plant are wrinkling this is most likely heat stress, move your Compact Florescent Light bulb 6 inches away from it. if you are looking for a inexpensive source of reflective material camping/emergency blankets made from Mylar is superior to aluminum foil and will increase the amount of light reflected to your plants.
