First time grower having issues and could use some help

I had a couple seeds from a bag of super sour og going good in my single dwc and they turned out to be males so I bought a blue dream clone from the dispensary that was dead within the week after washing the roots. I currently have a space candy clone going as of today. I cut the bottom off of the solo cup put some hydroton on the bottom of my net pot and then some coffee filters then I placed the cup on the filters with some white widow and filled the rest in with hydroton any input would be great
