Hi guys,

I am in a bit of a fix. I have germinated my autoflower seed and planted it in a mix of soil and perlite. Unfortunately, I am unable to see any growth in the plant since the last 5 days.

Some more information for you to understand the problem better:
1. I am watering the plant using a spray bottle (5-7 sprays, 2 times a day)
2. Lights cycle of 24 hours
3. Humidity 60-65%
4. Temperature 20-25 degrees
5. I have put very small amount of big bloom fertilizer, twice
6. I am trying to maintain the PH level of 6-7
7. Grow setup picture attached
8. Plant pictures attached
9. Soil pictures attached

I am a new grower and this is my 4th attempt.
Hope I can save the plant in time.

Hope someone can provide useful advice.

Thanks!

Hey:) how often you watering? Light? Light height? Tell me everything. They dont need much and if over watered will slow growth, thats my guess so far. When the surface of the soil gets dry in seed stage just spray a little bit of water to wet surface/top inch. This ensures you dont over water:)

If so wait a few days, let it use some water and she will be fine:) also dechlorinate the tap water by aerating it or letting it sit for 24 hrs if u can. If u cant all the time which is usually the case, no biggie:) Also theres plenty of food in the soil, dont use anything but water or compost tea, stick with organic and supplement with bottled nutes if you get a deficiency and cant make compost tea, and dont wanna top dress for whatever reason.

Hi VanIsland,

Thanks for the quick reply. Following are more details that might help:

I am using 2 bulbs:
Bulb1: 9W 3000K 900lm
Buld2: 7W F3000 630lm

Lux reading on the meter is 14,300

Should i reduce the light? I guess I am over watering as well. Will reduce.

Thanks!

If I understand this right you planted the seed and then started to water and feed it before it even broke through the surface? I'm guessing your little sprout seed has been drowned if you've been soaking it twice a day while waiting for it to come up.. In the future plant the seed in moist (not saturated) soil and be patient.. Do nothing!

Hey okay you need more light! Seedlings sprout into the sun all the time, the sun is brighter than anything ever will be. So you should buy a light, you need to now that its sprouted other wise your plant will grow super slow. So do what you can, but for now have a fan in there somewhere moving air around and put the lamps like 6 " away, the 16w you have is comparible to roughly 70 incandescent they say or something like that, point is its enough for seedlings, so just have them as close as you can , even 3 inches, as long as it doesnt get to hot, but lower to 6 now and then see if you can go lower a inch at a time kinda thing every few days. But you must maintain the right distance as they grow so they dont get stressed from the heat/intensity.

Try Cfls man.. you can keep them as close as you want and you wont burn the plant, they are cheap and efficient.. my 2 cents
