The Birthday Spanking Pair:0 that WAS temp designated S:02 is now S:01. It must have already got triggered to flower a while back, so I guess I can put it back on veg lighting tonight. Anyway, it flowered, and it is a boy. So if it manages to survive reveg and growing to adulthood, it will get to breed with the second Pair:0 girl when I get her to make Generation:01 seeds. Haven't even got the first girl yet to be the real S:00.

So, S:02, as I said, is now S:01. The former S:01 is now S:00.

And the former S:00 has been demoted to S:02.

All four Birthday Spankings; 2 from Pair:0 and 2 from Pair:1 are definitely ready and beyond for planting. They are all getting Jiffy Pots this time, with a simple styro cup for a drip catcher.

The first of each will go into flower cycle lighting of 14D/10L come 22:00 tonight.

The other pair start on normal veg lighting, as usual.

I don't know how it happened, but the Birthday Spanking Pair:1 seedling that was going to come off flowering lighting tomorrow had a fatal break. I think tomorrow I am going to start another pair of them for one final comparison of flowering from birth vs putting on flowering lighting after there is a decent crown and at least one level of leaves. I've somewhat lost track of all that, and though I am sure I can piece it all back together, I figure no harm in one more attempt. And I will pay better attention this time around.

In other news, both Pair:0/S:02 and Pair:0/S:04 are finished. Not starting any replacements yet. Going to wait until after a head count to see what should get replaced while there's still a couple months remaining before planting.

The remaining Birthday Spanking seed, the one from Pair:0, is now off flowering lighting, just in time to catch some delicious rays on the front porch as the weather warms up. Sadly, those low 70s that were forecast have been downgraded to high 50s through mid 60s.

Still, good enough to migrate plants out to the porch and back in daily.

Also started 2 additional Birthday Spanking Pair:1 seeds for a final test and comparison of sexing techniques. That will be covered in its own little side journal, as a sequel to the 33 Days one that I am closing out.

I have decided that side journal, which I am now calling a pocket journal (because it has a better ring to it) won't be started until the two are ready to go in Jiffy Pots.

Meantime, both seeds have sprouted already, and will likely be planted in a day or two.

Those two latest Birthday Spanking Pair:1 sprouts are now planted in Jiffy Pots with almost all Miracle Gro Potting soil plus a layer of yard dirt on top (denser and should hopefully help prevent uprootings during watering). Don't know for certain; first time trying it this way.

Anyway, the one with the longer tap root is going right into darkness and will get onto my flowering lighting cycle of 14 Dark / 10 Light tomorrow at noon. That one is designated Alpha, or A. The shorter one gets to grow up on normal veg lighting, and will spend a lot of time in this nice south facing window. It is designated Bravo, or B, and will be put on 14/10 after it reaches what I call Level:0 status, with a crown and at least one level of leaves, which is enough to get sexed.

At this point now, these two get turned over to my new upcoming journal, the sequel to the 33 Days side journal. Once that journal has run its course, they will get any further coverage here.

Just a small update for now. Hopefully I will have something more in depth to post on what I am hoping will become regular weekly updates starting next Saturday (4/20).

As is becoming a standard practice for any Jiffypotted boys, Pair:0 S:01 is now happily settled into one of my 1 gallon planters as his permanent home; and with a nice layer of Miracle Gro potting soil mix to top him off with to boot.
