Help please

I have a 2nd generation white widow clone i have a 120 watt spot gro light i put white cardboard around it and filled a dixie cup with soil i put root hormone on the stem and put it in the soil i know i should have waited for roots before planting it but im not sure i should take it out of the cup and put it in water and wait for roots i also put a 2 liter bottle over the cup to hold moisture in please let me know what to do before it dies it has been three days the temp is at 74 degrees

any other tips for how long it might take will it grow roots in the soil or u have to put it in water first

It will grow roots in the soil, should be around two weeks.

The clones should take root in 7-14 days. Depends on the quality of the rooting hormone used really. Untill then I wouldnt give them any nutes and keep the lights a little distant, but not far away.
