I have a question about when to process my plants. Let me first start by saying that I have a very odd situation so the typical, "Try it at different stages and see what works for you" doesn't quite work.
My daughter has a medical card for her cerebral palsy and other disabling conditions. When we started her on the marijuana in April, we found that her seizures stopped as well (So thankful for this). We are completely hooked as every other drug she has been prescribed made her drowsy and increased the seizures. Here is the tricky part, she is nonverbal and has no communication skills. Her dad and I have never used marijuana before so this has been like shooting in the dark this whole time (how much to give her, in what form, which kind works best, etc).
I am attempting to grow to keep this as safe and organic as possible so that I don't introduce anything unnecessary into her body. I have two plants that are budding, I have a pocket microscope and I have been looking at the trichromes and from the pictures I have seen everywhere, I would say they are milky white? I am trying to figure out when would be the optimal time for processing for the highest CBD count. We are not as interested in THC (not worried about it, it just isn't our main focus). Our primary focus is to keep that CBD count as high as we can for the specific plant (both are indica, one baba kush? and one is called cheese- I just went to the dispensary and bought whatever indica they had, I have no idea if these are going to be the right fit for her but we will give it a shot). Anyway, when should we start processing it? Should we wait until 50% are indica? Do it sooner? A little later? I have read so many conflicting things that I am just at a loss for what to do. I am an elementary school teacher and this is my busiest time of year so I really wish someone could just tell me (barring no photo of the trichromes, I doubt you can, but any help is better than my continued dark shooting). I tried to get a photo but my macro doesn't zero in quite enough to see the trichromes. Could anyone guide me?
