How’s it look?

Sup guys. First time indoor growing. Don’t know what I’m doing. Found a bag seed and germinated it just for fun and ended up spending about 400 on a set up. Totally winging this project and going by what I read. Wondering when I should flip to 12/12. I am approaching 30 days in veg now. Any pointers?

Flip it depending on how high \wide u want it to grow. I'd probably up pot it and give it another 2 to 3 weeks.
I placed It in a one gallon smart pot in some fox farms ocean forest soil. In desperate need of a ph meter. I’ve been using the color chart and I know it’s been up and down between 5.0 and 6.5. +\-

Thanks for the tag. Yes, I'd up-pot to a 2 or 3 gallon pot. Those plants are root bound. You put them in bigger pots & they will get much bigger. You're getting yellow bottom leaves most likely because of the root bound issue. Looks good other then that.

Here’s some pics I got of the root system. Root bound?

Yes, You see how the roots are swirling around the bottoms ? If they were in a bigger pot they would spread instead of swirl & the plant would grow more. You put that plant in a 3 gallon & it will be much bigger in 2 - 3 weeks & you'll get a better yield. After 4 weeks put them in 5 gallon pots & start flowering & they will grow about 1/3rd more. That's the way I do it.
Here's a couple of pics to see the size of the plants when I up-pot. I start LST a few days after topping at the 4th node. I up-pot just before topping.

These plants were Vegged 5 weeks & topped once. Pulled 9.4 oz., 10.5 oz. & 11.1 oz. from these girls.
Wow. That was some knowledge there. I appreciate the input. I was curious as to why my plant looks so much smaller than others of the same age. I see my plant and ask myself why it’s so small. Will it recover now that I placed in a bigger pot with nute rich soil and gave it proper lighting?

Sure Will. It will be double that size in a couple of weeks. The more you keep up-potting to bigger pots the bigger the plant will get. I stop at 5 gallon so I have enough room for up to 5 plants in a 4' x 8' grow area.

Gotcha. Being that this is my first time ever I’m only working with one plant. I’m going for a short flat bush so I feel that a one gallon Smart pot will suffice and will keep my plant small and short. Not going for a mega bush. Thanks!
