How long does it take to germinate gorilla glue?

hi,I have some doubts about some seeds, how long do they take to germinate? 7 months ago I bought these auto gorilla glue #4 , they sent it to me in a nice postcard, I put them on wet napkins, is my first grow

Hey Jonathan,

Welcome! 4 to 6 days sounds about right, thats for popping above soil, that’s for most any strain not just gorilla glue. The problems with some types of paper products such as napkins, Kleenex & toilet paper is the root attaches to the paper. Paper products used to contain high dioxin content but that has been reduced by bleaching. Most people here soak seeds first in water for 24 hours, starting out the float but usually sink to bottom.... then some do the damp paper towel in a baggie thing while others go directly into soil or the media of their choice after soaking seeds.

Paper towel seems a little too wet, IMO. I do soak my seeds for 13 hours ( don’t ask why 13... it’s just what I do) I sink em with my finger at that point and put them into damp paper towel into a baggie (slightly open) then on top of my internet router, usually within 12-24 hours I have tap root and into the soil they go. Everyone does it a little different. Just the way I do it. Good luck

I never ask why 13.... it’s a great number!

Agree with Canadadoes it looks too wet, started to mention it earlier but figured I had already delivered enough potentially bad news - let soneone else take the heat for that one! He, he, he!

I have those very same seeds .
I am at Day 18 w/ three seeds successfully germinated and sprouted.
This is my first attempt at auto period seeds.

They already have 6 days and still nothing, they are the same as the first day, i think Something is not right

how many days does it take to germinate?, ur plants look good

Seeds in water , over night .
Seeds in wet paper towel & dish w/ heating pad under , 2 days.
This is all done in a dark , warm place.
Seed in starter soil mix with plastic cover w/ heating pad , 2 days till seedling pops .

I am assuming your seeds are in the napkin shown above ?
If so , have you kept it moist ?
Are they in a dark warm closet ?
If you let the paper dry out that would be the issue most likely.

Yes, they are in wet and dark paper, now I do not have something white and I think they are germining,

Wow at least one popped a tail, I think that paper is too thick and hinders the air flow. Hopefully more have popped

Hello everyone,
If it's not too late... @Jonatan01, I must agree with others here; paper towels look too wet and too thick to let enough air to circulate. I know that everyone seems to have different methods that works for them... Mine is: in a VERY shallow plate, I put 2 layers of paper towels down, wet them, then the seeds, then only 1 layer of paper towel on top. I don't add water to the top layer because I feel that there's enough from the ones on the bottom. I then place a dome over it all with a small gap (like a pen or pencil) at one edge. All this is on a gentle seed sprouting mat. Hope this helps.
