I’m a green rookie need help

Watering schedule has lots of variables. The first is what type of median are you growing in - Soil or CoCo. CoCo is almost impossible to over water as it drains so well.

The best rule of thumb is to feel your pot with soil in it. It will feel relatively light for the size. Now water it until run off and feel the pot again. Now every day pick up you pot and feel the weight if still relatively heavy hold off is light it is time for a drink.

Things like the amount of drainage amendments (perlite etc) will make your pots retain less water. Addition of moss type products and vermiculite will cause it to hold more water. The higher the temperature and lower the humidity will cause the pots to dry faster.

When you first start a seedling it is best to put a humidity dome over the seedling for the first week or two (1 liter soda bottle with bottom cut out is often used). Water sparingly but mist frequently.

You will do great if you get a feel for your planting containers and their weight. The biggest most 1st time growers make is to over water and rot the roots. We often say ---- Less is More.
