It didn't take me long to see the hand held microscopes weren't going to work for me.

I bought a mid range entry level microscope. A game changer!
LED lights from below and above.
On 2x you fill the screen with trichromes, and can easily see clear, milky and amber. On 4x you can actually look inside the trichomes to see any early change over to amber.

If you look around, they're around used for short $$$. Money well spent.

I bought a shadowing microscope with a digital camera, a couple of months back, to look at microbes and fungal hyphae in the soil and teas. I haven't had the time to set it up yet. Just another rabbit hole to climb through...
