Is RDWC too loud?

Hi guys,

Although i am confident that i can build a RDWC 4 pot system, the amount of noise it might produce is concerning me. I'll have a grow tent in a room above a neighbours bedroom, so keeping the grow as quiet as possible is a must (she's a smoker but she also starts work very early and i don't want to disturb her at all)

From just looking at the kind of setups i'm thinking of on Youtube it looks like they are pretty loud, and i would also be concerned about vibrations. Could anyone with experience tell me if i'm better off just going with an aerated Autopot system instead?

you could put a foam barrier then plywood on the floor...

they are quiet unless running larger set ups. its primarily the air pump that causes the noise but on a 4 pot system the size of pump wont be an issue, just dont use a piston powered pump. have the return water coming in at just above the water level to avoid noisy waterfall noise. u cant beat rdwc, i have them set up stealthily with zero issues.
