Experience can definitely help and may even make someone like your friend look real squared away but everyone runs into issues with their grow now and again. Having the knowledge and timing to recognize and fix them helps a ton.

Nah, I just think that in the mind of some experienced growers they probably are thinking of what can be done differently and better, but others don't see that internal dialogue so it looks like that person has it all figured out. Same thing seems to happen in other aspects of life too.

Thanks Greenlizard, yeah he tells me all the time how it was like going back to school K-12th, haha. And he doesn't have a budget (old money), he's just cheap, haha, he spends his money on remodeling his house, as for me, I can cover what I'll need, when I need it. Just ordered a 5' x 5' x 6.5' tent and 2 - 6" inline fans and ducting. Haven't decided to go with an HID or an LED, I've heard good things about Mars Hydro LEDs and concerned that a tent will hold the heat in more than his closet.
Any opinions?

2- 6inch inline fans is overkill in a 5 by 5 tent. One will be more than enough. Also I have grown side by side LED and Cmh. Noticed denser better quality nugs with Cmh and only consumes 315 watts. Also they can be cheaper sometimes than LED, I paid 300 bucks for mine. I also use COBs for my LEDs, Optic 4s to be exact. Got some good nugs with them too because of the amazing par and spectrum. I would still go with CMH though.
