Looking at the trichomes

I bought a x40 loupe and tried looking at the trichomes today. I see the trichomes but being able to say if they are clear or milky... my eyes just don't seem up for that. Any tips how to do this? Would I just need a stronger loupe?

But my problem is mainly that I just could not see well enough to tell if they were clear or cloudy. I guess I just have bad eyes...?

Focusing the loup can be a challenge

I have an app on my phone, works well, Cozy Mag, has a great zoom, but it needs a steady hand

I would try what Chris said. Maybe a highly pixilated photo can help you.

I have problems using a loupe. I bought an electronic microscope and it works with my phone.

We photograph the trichomes with a cheap “macro” lense that attaches to the iPhone. Once photographed, we zoom in for inspection. I have the same issue as you and this works for us. Cheers.

I bought a cheap microscope off of amazon and it works wonders. it even has a little light on it

I just bout a Carson zorb for this very reason! To arrive next week...hopefully it helps!
