My 3rd Grow, Hydro!

little bit of an update, I'm going out to dinner with the Mrs. tonight so pics will be up later but for now ...I changed the water in the farm and bucket yesterday ph of both running b/w 5.2-6.2 temp at a solid 21-24c
the ppm of the farm when after nutes and baking soda to raise the ph from 3.2 is 2000 and 1450 for the bucket.
both are doing very well, I've learned my lesson about overdoing the nutes this time around!

Thanks MOTAvation, i'm hoping so too, damn sativa strain is already 38"!! over a month on 12/12 and still no sign not even the slightest little inkling of sex, hopefully it'll show in july lol

step by step how i set up my hydro
1. paper towel method in a ziplock sandwich bag, i open it up once a day for 20 mins and keep it on top of my cable box, once the tap root has started growing it's time for the prop bucket
2. propagation bucket, 2 gallon bucket from home depot, sub pump (petco), cd spindle top, drill some holes for the drain cut a hole in the top , ( i'll send ya pics of how i built it if you want) i set the timer to flood for 15mins every 3 hrs after about a day or two the roots will show thru the plug, now it's time for the hydro bucket
3. place in hydro bucket, lowest level of nutes around 350ppm pH of 5.2-6.8 should be good.
from the day they leave the paper towel germination they go into a pre nutrient soaked root plug and stay in that plug for the rest of the grow, i just change the house around the plug + i use hydroton as my medium.
if ya need any more info just holla bro!

Glad to have ya on board Haze! i'm actually working on upgrading the setup once again and getting a 400watt hps or mh, I hear the hps produces fatter buds but the the mh puts off more uva and uvb which increases the potency. what do you think?

Im in EU i dought i can help you . You will get some fatter and harder buds if you instal something like that ...Pan just got some new lights with more blue spec and ...you could ask him.
But you have a green thumb . I know you'll do fine.

Edit : Never heard about that ....MH increases the potency?? wtf?

yea, appearantly metal halides emit more uva and uvb which the girls use to produce tricomes, which would in turn increase the potency, i'm not sure how much truth there is to that considering i've only used fluros, but i'm getting one of those lights for certain!

:Logical thing would be to get 2x250w Hid ...one Hps , and one mh ...you can get 2in1
If you are planing on investing in hps 400w ...why not duo pack of 150wx2, or 250wx2?

In the process of making some wine and co2 for my girls! got the idea from i can't remember who on this forum but it's working so far, my balloon is starting to fill up as we speak!

ok folks it's SundayFunday, so you know what that means! Picture time!! i've got a few nice ones for you guys/girls
the hydro bucket is at 2 weeks old and the waterfarm 3 weeks old
i'm gonna veg the hydro bucket for as long as it takes to touch the lights as I can't move them higher, so around 3 weeks i'm assuming, then she'll go right next to the water farm in the flowering chamber and start some lst training. both systems are running at pH 5.6 ppm of the farm 1530 and for the bucket 1100. the farm i believe is showing female preflowers, and i started her on her first dose of bloom nutes today when i changed the water. I'll know for sure by the end of the week.

here's a good shot of the waterfarm, i topped her two nights ago

now enter the hydro bucket, at two weeks and growing strong!

and finally the New Purple Power clones took root and I killed their (mom/dad) I'm gonna give them one more full day of 24hr light and then i'm throwing then in the flowering cab for some sexing action, their donor spent almost 3 weeks in veg and grew to be a two headed monster i want smaller plants this time around and i wanna sex them sooner than later

I didn't expect them to take root so soon, it's only been a week and a half, i dont' have my new 6 pot hydro bucket built yet so i put them in dirt instead!
