  • Hello fellow Cannabis enthusiasts!

I hope everyone is doing great & enjoying the fruits of their labour!

Napoleon's Dynamite here from Ontario, Canada. A little about myself... Well, I'm 30 years old, I have two beautiful young daughters, a 6 year old dog named Jax, I've been using Cannabis for well over a decade and figure its about time I start an indoor garden of my own. Its a bit long overdue and something I am extremely excited about as I've been reading and learning about growing Cannabis since I was 15-16 years old. I've been involved in a couple somewhat successful outdoor harvests back before I turned 20. So, I'm not a complete noob but at the same time a would still consider myself a beginner.

My Garden as of now (March 11th, 2019) is a few days under a month underway & boy I gotta tell ya, am I ever stoked by how things have been going so far despite a few learning curves here and there. I've set up two small garden space's of which only one is in use for the time being. Unfortunately am a little tight on space but that is OK! Eventually that will change I'm sure. Let's go over my setup.

Ok, so first let's go over what will eventually likely become my veg room. Currently not in use. This is a little space a have available above my bathroom. Its not much but it will make due.

    L x W x H
    3.5'x1.5'x3'
Light: Meizhi 600r LED (270 max wattage)
Inline fan used to pull in fresh air (eventually from outside) & exhaust to second garden.
8" fan to help with air circulation.

Now for my second garden space:

    4'x2'x5'
Light: Electric Sky ES300 ( 300 max wattage)
With Carbon Filter and inline fan for exhaust. 8" fan for cooling above lights and 12" fan for air circulation. Also, running a humidifier right now as its currently still winter & a heat mat.

Looking forward to being able to share my experience with others in the community and hopefully help myself and others become a better grower. Feel free to let me know what you think! Productive criticism and advise is always welcome & appreciated.

I'm going to split this up into two separate journals. I have some autoflower and some photoperiod plants sharing the 2'x4' tent. In about a month I will be moving my autos over to my second space and begin flowering my photo strains.

This Journal is dedicated to my photoperiod strains.

  • The light I'm using is the es300.
  • Coco Coir grow median.
  • Blend of Gaia Green 4-4-4 & 2-8-4.
  • 2ftx4ftx5ft grow tent.
  • Carbon Filter and 4" inline fan.
  • 8" fan up top to keep light cool.
  • 12" fan for good air circulation.
  • Solo cups & smart pots.
  • Humidifier & heat mat.
  • Air pump & air stone.
  • Digital temperature/humidity Gauge.
  • Ph pen & Ph down.

I have a Gorilla Glue #4 from Canuck Seeds which sprouted February 11th which would make her 4 weeks old today! She got off to a good start in a solo cup and was eventually transplanted into a 3 gallon smart pot about a week and a half in. I began training her rather early at around day 18 with a little lst and first topping. On March 8th she was looking a bit over crowded so I decided to do a bit of defoliation. I also fimmed my tops. The next day I went stretch out my two gorgeous main tops and with a little to much force, snapped one off. I figured I'd try cloning for the first time. She's still bouncing back from all the stress. I plan to just let her grow from now until flower with just a little lst to help direct these tops where I want them.

Next up is White Cookies from Crop King Seeds. First sprouted in a solo cup in coco on February 18th, after having no luck with my first attempt at germinationg a WC seed. Transplanted into a 1 gallon smart pot just over a week in. She's now 3 weeks old and looking great! There has been a little light stress training done to help promote some growth on the lower branches, other then that I've just been letting her bulk up a bit before topping her.

- I should mention that all three strains I'm working with right now are feminized. I do have one unknown seed going from a bag that could turn out to be a male. Anyways, here she is!

I would like to give the WC a bigger pot soon but only have 7 gallon smart pots right now. I feel that's a bit overkill and would prefer to upsize to a 3 gallon.

Up next is Jack Herer from Canuck Seeds. She's also a week behind the gg#4 sprouting on February 18th in a solo cup with coco. She is doing just absolutely wonderful. I was able to transplant her into a 3 gallon smart pot about a week in. She's now 3 weeks old.
Nothing has been done as far as training goes, I do intend to top down to around the 4th nod and take a clone once she gains enough size. I also plan to do the same with my WC.

Here she is!

Hey everyone,

It been awhile since I've updated. So, so much has happened over the past few months! The ladies are now In week 4 of flower. Everything is going fairly well.

Ive had to change the location of my grow space on short notice. The only real down side to the new location is that it was a bit crowded and dirty. I've been slowly clearing space and getting things in order. On the positive side though, once I clear out the space I'll have a lot more room to work with in the future.

I've learnt a lot during this first run. Despite having reasonable success, there is still so much I have picked up for future runs. I feel I began with a pretty good understand on how to grow some pretty ladies indoors and as far as that goes they're looking great!

Its the logistics and the fine tuning of what I consider optimal. I have 3 plants crammed in a space I could have filled with one. I have 2 plants in 7 gallon smart pots and 1 in a 3 gallon, with better scrog techniques and just a little more time I could have filled the tent easily with just one plant in a 7 gal.

My 2'x4' flower tent is a bit congested. I probably won't use it to flower many photo strains. I'll likely start using it for autoflowers after one more run. I have what I thought was a white widow auto flower, but after veggin out now for two and a half months I'm gunna make the call this is not an autoflower. After this run in the flower tent I plant to flower her out in there alone in her 7 gal.

Anyways, lets check out some pictures!
