This website has been great for advice and help! Another question My plants are under a month old from seed. Some droopy leaves on the bottom with no nodes shall I cut these? And also do you think I should start topping now ? Appreciate any help.

Hey there!

Nice looking plants! I personally leave the leaves alone when my plants are young. If they are green they are still providing energy to your plant. Later on when your plants are larger removing something ugly or non productive from the bottom is fine.

As far as topping goes... I try to do the first top above the fourth node. They look pretty good though. Great job.

What strains as are you growing?

Stay high my friends,

5x5x7 tent. 2 purple punch 1 peyote and 1 gorilla zkittleZ. I’m confused with the topping I’m already at node 5 I just topped them, I did not do a great job on one plant and accidentally snipped a healthy leaf getting confused where the main stem shoots off in different directions but the other 2 was simple and went ok.

Look how stupid I was!! Will this cause problems ?

It should be fine. I chopped one of my main branches off on my first grow by accident. Eventually grew around it.
FYI cutting the main is what you’re looking to do when topping, otherwise you’re FIMM’d. Aka (F**k I Missed the Main)
Check out the link discussing this in my sig.

As far as trimming goes, unless you’re worried about yellow leaves in your photos, leave them to die on their own.

The way I understand it is that when your plant is deficient, it will cannibalize it’s leaves for that nutrient.

Unless they are completely gone, or blocking a bud site, leave them be.

Very nice selection.

My advice now you have topped.

Do nothing for the next three weeks except for watering. Then switch your lights to 12/12 for 2 weeks. Start counting your flowering period after this time and change nutrients to bloom. Spread out your plants to take advantage of your 5x5 space. Use low-stress training to open up indica bushy plants and keep them in a lower profile.

Try not to be overly proactive. The strains you are growing are tough. Providing you don't overwater or feck-up nutrients you should be fine to just let them grow.

Good luck.

Plants look good.
Try to keep your leaves propped out of the soil. Now just allow the plants to go through the wet/dry cycle until you flip. How big of a pot do you plan to go to?
Thanks. It’s coco and I transplanted a bit to deep so I can’t really help them leaves in the coco, and they are my final pot 5 gallon
