New growth slightly lighter green

Hey all,

ready to bail me out again?

Trying to work out why the new growth on my mother plants is a slightly lighter green that the rest of the plant. It's too subtle a difference for my camera to pickup, but it's there for sure. Most obviously after I take a bunch of cuttings because all the new tips are lighter.

I thought i read somewhere that meant I should up the feeding (Dynagro FoliagePro). I've been doing that to no avail. The older leaves just get tip burn, and the new leaves are still a paler shade of green.

Any idea what it is? And should I be concerned.

Any help much appreciated.

Sounds fairly normal to me unless it's really extreme. It's most obvious in early flower when the plant is growing extra fast. That growth will turn darker as it ages by a few days.

Cheers, I was hoping that was the case.

I've been trying to dose the nutrients based on how green the leaves are. Guess I'm better just ramping up until I get nute burn and then back-off a bit.

I wouldn't be in any rush to up the nutes if the plant is looking healthy.

Wow, just as you mentioned that I remembered reading something similar. About how if the mother has too much nitrogen it can slow the cuttings rooting as they have everything they need!

I think they say a little higher P helps rooting. But don't quote me on that.
