New seedling - Soil still damp - Hold off watering?

Hey!

Before I planted my seedling (Promix - 6 inch wide pot) I soaked the pot until there was runoff.



I planted the seed and gave it a very light surface watering after 24 hrs. In 30 hours after planting, the seed sprouted.

Here is what I have after 2 days....

I can still sense moisture at one inch into the soil...not wet by a long shot.....just that cool and very slightly damp feeling..

Should I wait until the soil is dry at an inch deep? Or should I give the seedling more water at this stage?

Thats good. Did it have mychorrizae in it? If it didnt have any Look into something for that. I like products that have both endo and ecto strains of bacteria. Compost Tea is also something thats perfect for young lings'

Hmm....not sure man! My hydro shop sold me a green garbage bag full of the stuff, so I'm not positive.

. I should explain. They had a huge massive bale of it and didn't have smaller packaging so they basically gave me a bag!

Got it. You should ask what's in the mix.
You said it was hp which stands for high porosity. They make different versions of the hp though. It's a great mix for starting seeds. I always like to add some worm castings when starting seeds as well as the beneficial bacteria.
