the rest of my plants are also a very spring green, and the oddball is very dark. same ph @ 6.2, same light coverage, same temp.

Anyone ever experienced this? I'm curious if the plant will continue to sprout triplets and if it will be a blessing or a curse.

May be a polyploid. Time will tell. If so then yes, I've had a few. All of the polyploid plants that I've ever had (3), once they grow the stems grow really flat and wide and every Bud site where it would normally grow one will grow two. If it is a polyploid they can get crazy because everything is doubled. It may just be a genetic defect and nothing to do with a polyploid but if it is you may be in for a fun ride. Some polyploids can grow so much bud that it's crazy to look at

Grow it out and create a grow journal for it and document everthing thats going on so you can help people next time with this bc it pops up abunch of the frequent asked questions forums..

It's still growing, node #2 had 2 leaves conjoined, and the 3rd is on the opposite side of the new growth.

Its growing slower than the rest, and the leaves are a bit funky. BUT the stalk is twice as supportive as the rest. I have been gently stressing the stalks to strengthen them. The tri-leaf doesnt wanna budge an inch so I've left it be.

Interested to see how the stems develop as the plant gets older.

I am as well, I've talked to a few people in town that have been growing for years and they are unsure. One of them said they had the strain grandmaster kush that genetically had this trait and his yields were that of 2 plants!

Wishful thinking, I know.

so! On top of having the tri-leaf specimen that has had the spotlight so far, another discovery that has me a bit dazzled.

This plant has been growing the usual bi-nodes for 5 weeks. Today I noticed the new growth on both branches is now tri-node. It has converted?

I have a plant going right now that started bi-node and transitioned into tri-nodes. Its a male though. Its fun to watch what they do.

This tri node is out of control lol. new branch growth has 5 leaves per node now.
