Old seeds won't germinate

Found some old seeds. Maybe like 2 or 3 years. I uses the water cup method but it's been 48 house and the havent done much. Should I take it out And use the paper plate method or put them in soil?

You can always try roughing them up a little. Light rub on some fine sand paper. Sometimes they need a little assistance. Bury them beans and let nature take over. Good luck

Throw them in a paper towel and keep them moist, what do you have to lose?

That's what I ended up doing. aIl I had was thick sandpaper anyways. I guess if nothing happens I'll get some new seeds and try try again lol.

Get pliers and cut the rim very lightly. If you want something slower soak them in black tea extract for 24 hrs. I've germinated 13 yr old seeds kept in garage in 90F just by soaking them in water for 24-48 hrs.
