They are not a sponsor here, so I cannot link to their web page. I'm looking at this light for my 2.3x2.3x5 grow tent. What are your thoughts on this light? Cobs to close together? Too much light for my space?

Cobs are too close together. I think I know where you got them they make one with 12 around a square box frame. The cobs should be a foot apart or so I think.

COBs are way too close to each other on that lamp.

You're better off getting a COB kit from Kingbrite, or building your own COB or Board/Strip light :)

If it's for flowering only, get 2700K/3000K 90CRI COBs.

It would be perfect for that area, and yes you're on the limit of having too much light for that space without supplying CO2, but the driver is dimmable so you can run it as soft as you like. 3000K is best for flowering/general use combo.
If HLG have what you want in stock, ordering directly from them is best.

You could also do a build like this:

4x QB132 3000K = $140
1x Meanwell HLG-240H-C1750 = $80
You also need some wires, connectors and hangers, but still a lot cheaper than that kit.
